Lovely little cosy cottage in a fabulous location.. Owner lives close by and is extremely helpful. Local pub is fantastic... Not a fan of leather chairs extremely uncomfortable and beds are quite hard but then that's a personal choice. It would not put me off returning as I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Wookey.

We stayed in The Cider Barn Wookey.. Clean, well appointed facilities in cottage. Single beds were a little hard for me..but that could just be preferential to me. Cosy and warm. The only main draw back was no internet and running your own business, even when on a break needs keeping an eye on ..so.. internet access would be good.

If you want a really relaxing holiday this is the place for you! Once through the door we were quite happy to stay put! Lovely situation, near enough to Wells and Glastonbury. One of the best Sykes Cottage we have stayed in.

Nice cottage didn't lack anything as regards cooking etc.. - lovely area plenty to see and do without going miles Wells a lovely city use long stay parking very inexpensive - owner helpful but left us alone o get on with things - downside no wi-fi - good job private parking as local pub often has cars/vans parked outside cottage. Was not impressed with Ring O' Bells pub Sunday lunch as drowned meal in gravy would have been better in jug! Didn't go again once bitten - Pheasant along road had excellent meal

It was a lovely cottage with good facilities, great access to motorways, Bristol, Wells, National Trust properties, the Chew Valley, the pub 'The Ring O' Bells' and shops and supermarkets, generally in a good spot.. I had a very relaxing time. But where is the internet, lack of it was a big miss and having to go out to get access was inconvenient and it meant I couldn't get things like iplayer and emails in the cottage.

The Old Cider Barn was very comfortable, spacious and equipped.. The parking space next to it was ample. The owner Mr Spearing was welcoming and helpful. The village of Wookey was attractive and quiet with good access to places of interest to us in all directions. The pub next door was very good with excellent food, beer and ciders, and with very friendly staff. We enjoyed the freshly baked bread from the flour mill at the edge of the village, local meat and cheeses from the butcher and fresh fish and veg from the fishmonger both in nearby Wedmore. There was plenty to see and do in this very beautiful part of the country, with more still to see.

A very clean Cottage ,with all you could need in it , perfect base for a good 30 mile radius around it , plenty to see and do , made to feel very welcome by the owner , would highly recommend it to any couple with or without children .. It is next door to a Village Pub that sells outstanding food , but no noise from it that would disturb you .
