Superficially clean.. But saw Jam on freezer door, bread left in freezer and then started to see :coated dust radiator towel rail bathroom, dirty toilet roll dispenser, skirting also dirty, mould on anti slip mat bath, coffee spillage marks on bar of nest of tables, rust on drainer, dust tv stand, no dispensers on liquid soaps just refil bottles present. Disappointing level when every thing should be high standard to prevent infection. Position property very good, quiet and central.

A very comfortable cottage in a great location.. Secure patio for our dog. Comfy bed. Powerful shower. Close to amenities. Very disappointed that there was no welcome pack as described by previous visitors. We had arrived after a six hour journey and there wasn't even a tea bag, although milk left in the fridge. The kitchen could do with a few extras such as a bread bin and cannisters for tea, sugar etc. There is a washing machine but no clothes line or pegs. Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this holiday cottage.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay in this smashing little cottage right in the heart of an enchanting little seaside town. So close to the harbour, beach, shops, cafe's & pubs but being tucked away behind the high street meant it was nice and quiet. Also it's a good location for exploring other places both near and far in Somerset and Devon. A very comfortable, clean and well equipped cottage containing everything we needed to make for a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The welcome pack was a nice touch too. We will definitely be back!

The cottage is clean and modern.. The location is ideal for Watchet. We found it very quiet and relaxing. Good location for visiting Minehead and Dunster.

A beautiful cottage in a fabulous setting just behind the Main Street and within an easy walk to the harbour, shops and pubs. The accommodation is clean , well furnished ( apart from the second bedrooms beds) the welcome pack is a very nice touch ( wine, biscuits, tea and coffee with milk in the fridge) a well equipped kitchen with a microwave, cooker, hob, fridge freezer and washing machine) The door furniture is a little noisy and awkward for people with fingers that no longer work properly. But very functional. The doors all need a good does of oil to stop them squeaking during the night. I would suggest that you bring a tea towel with you as one is not enough! ( one supplies for the week) The second bedroom has a single slatted bed with a pullout slatted bed underneath! The pullout bed which I slept in constantly broke..... the slats would push through and you ended up on the floor! Lucky for me my husband fixed it each night and as long as I didn’t move around too much I was fairly safe! One night my husband turned over and several of the slats on the single bed moved and he almost fell through! Again he managed to put them back! But this left is feeling a little uneasy going to bed each night! If the beds stay the same, the second bedroom is not suitable for adults and larger children!

The first thing to say is that prospective holidaymakers shouldn't be put off by the negative reviews from 2018.. The owners have clearly listened to criticism and acted accordingly. We arrived to find the cottage clean, fresh and bright. Everything worked properly, the welcome pack was indeed welcome, and the level of equipment was fine. In fact, it's rather better than the description and photos suggest, as the old larder fridge has been replaced by a much-needed washing machine (although we couldn't find a drying rack) and a full-size fridge-freezer added. There a nice little private outside space that catches the sun in the afternoon. We enjoyed fossil-hunting in nearby Helwell Bay and a steam train trip to Minehead, with its sandy beach. Samuel Taylor Coleridge's cottage is a short car ride to the east and the splendours of Dunster Castle are nearby to the west. The caravan park at Blue Anchor has a nice indoor swimming pool, sauna and steam room that's very reasonably priced and available to non-residents at off-peak times. As for the town itself, the shops are handy (the Co-op is two minutes away) and enough for everyday needs (there are out-of-town supermarkets at Minehead). I can recommend Sam's Deli where I bought one of the best scotch eggs I've ever tasted. The museums are small and welcoming and the Esplanade (lots of benches and shelters) gives a great view of the harbour.

This property 'does what it says on the tin' as the phrase goes.. The location was brilliant and Watchet as a place to visit exceeded expectations.

Cottage was comfortable & in central location.. Maybe because it was late in season the cottage needs a spring clean grubby in places. Also suggest a grab rail is installed to assist with getting out of the shower ( one of our party found it difficult) .

Inadequate bath towels for 2 weeks stay.. A washing machine would be a good addition as no launderette in the town.

Cottage was Lovely, very clean and comfortable.. Owners left us a bottle of wine and milk in fridge. A good base to do some touring or a great place to chill out. The patio area Was a bonus bit it did need some TLC, otherwise a fab place.

This cottage felt unloved.. Obviously not decorated since built. Weeds on the patio complimented by rusty garden furniture. One light off in the kitchen area and a wall light off in the sitting area. Rusty chrome items in the bathroom . Kitchen - no j-cloths or washing up liquid and only one tea towel (tatty). No cereal bowls only soup bowls. The bedrooms are like student accommodation with a portable rail shoved in one wardrobe together with excess bed linen . In the other bedroom there is a temporary cloth wardrobe.

First impressions OK.. After 7hour journey put kettle on which was very greasy on outside, put lights on and one light in kitchen and one in lounge area did not work.! walking up stairs noticed above skirting board needed painting . Second bedroom had no bedside table and light on windowsill did not work and needed a new shade as it had pieces missing. The wardrobe was canvas and had various bedding piled on top.We phoned owner next morning and he sent Louise round with new lightbulbs..We pointed out that on the patio doors there was a large area of dried on bird poo,she said she did not clean outside windows, so I got washing up liquid and cleaned it off while she was there. The outside table and chairs had so much rust on the seats that we had to use cushions from settee to sit on them .The potted plants were half dead the wall had green algea on it on the patio needed a sweep.TO SAY THE LEAST IT WAS THE WORST PROPERTY WE HAVE STAYED IN AND WE WERE VERY DISAPPOINTED The good points were beds comfortable and clean both downstairs toilet and bathroom also clean and unlimited hot water.. 1 have taken photos of the rusty chairs and bird dirt on windows etc,if needed. Dot and Len Hopkins and Eve Burgess.

One of a row of newly built hoses, approached through an impressive gated entrance a few steps from the car park. A parking permit is provided. The house was very clean, with all the usual facilities, and well equipped. Everything worked. We found it very convenient for the esplanade and all the shops. It is central but not at all noisy. We would recommend it.

The cottage was just perfect for us, a warm cosy home from home.. Lovely to be so close to the sea. There is a very good bus service so we were able to leave the car in the car park almost all week.

The cottage was lovely, easy to find from the directions given by owner. The cottage was clean and cosy, perfect for the two of us and our dog. To top everything the village is lovely, great locals and everything was in walking distance from the cottage.
