The only problem with this cottage is that it is too good.. We have stayed in 30-40 cottages & this one is easily the best. Any other cottage we book now will have to match this one which will be very difficult. The garden is fantastic. Our two German Shepherds, Bonnie & Clyde, had a great time running around the very large garden. The house is really well appointed with no expense spared. Lovely living area with a large fire, massive kitchen/dining area & lovely bedrooms. There was every utensil you could wish to use. This would be an ideal place for children. A safe garden for them to explore (including football nets), lots of indoor games, Play Station, Xbox, DVDs & books.
There is a lovely walk along the river Arran from the doorstep. Within about half an hours drive there are lovely walks in The Forest of Ae, Mabie forest & a walk up the Grey Mare's tail waterfall , near Moffatt, is particularly beautiful.
We met the owner, Carolyn, who is one of the nicest people you could expect to meet. She was very welcoming & was available if you had any problems (which we didn't have) or wanted some advise about the local area.
If you are undecided about booking this cottage, don't be, because you will not be disappointed.
David, Kate, Bonnie & Clyde.
