It is a very quite location and very good for a relaxing holiday in the country side but still close to the town.. Ps. The directions to the cottage could be better described as it took some time to find it as it is on a single lane road which could be easily missed.
Possibly------ Follow the A713 from Castle Douglas until you pass the Castle Douglas Golf course on the left. You will then see approximately 200 yards/meters further on, a road bridge with national restriction speeds signs on either side on passing under the bridge (A75) there is a paddock and a house on the right.
Take the crown of the road as there is a single track road between the house and the industrial type "Scotish Bakery" buildings on the right hand side of the single track road . The single track road goes between the house and industrial buildings.
Turn into this lane and continue approx. 200 yards/meters turn left at the T junction carry on and turn right approx. 150 yards/ meters at the cowsheds, continue on passed a house on the right then a house on the left. There is Garden Cottage on the right.
