The former harbour town of Annan is idyllically nestled on the banks of the River Annan, in East Dumfries and Galloway. Steeped in history, the area was once the workplace of famed writer Thomas Carlyle. There's a host of amenities, with convenience stores, supermarkets, pubs and restaurants, as well as attractions including Lonsdale Cinema and Annan Museum. Within easy reach is the unspoilt Scottish coastline, where beachside fun awaits.
