La Casina

The little house is very nice, the bed is new and very comfortable, but... the couch is dirty and uncomfortable, and the housekeeping isn't the best. The microwave is filthy and has cobwebs everywhere. The pool is dirty, and I'm not talking about leaves, but black marks on the edge and green marks on the bottom.

This holiday home is in a fantastic location. It's set in the countryside among olive trees, yet close to Florence, and Pisa is also less than an hour away. It's completely fenced, making it very convenient for travelers with dogs. All the necessary amenities are provided. There are two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and a beautiful, large pool.

This was our third time there. The kitchen and house equipment is good. The stove is losing its surface finish on the burners. It's crumbling, but it works. The shower head in the "green" shower doesn't work properly. It's been broken since 2021. The same goes for the crack in the shower wall. The air conditioning works. Unfortunately, there aren't enough loungers by the pool. There were four of us, and there were only three loungers and no other seating. It was different before, and there were plenty of them.

A very beautiful property with olive trees, quiet but not isolated. Florence and Pisa are easily accessible.

The accommodation was very nice, clean, rustic furnishings with lots of nice little details. The pool was very nice with enough loungers. The covered terrace at the house was very nice for our daily breakfast outside. There are lots of small restaurants nearby with great food at reasonable prices. The only thing that bothered us were the mosquitoes, but we bought something there to prevent them. The WiFi was very weak, but that wasn't important to us. A compliment to the landlady for the communication.

It is not clear to me how 6 people should live and sleep in this house. Worn out sofa bed in the living room. For example, the kitchen is not big enough for 6 people to eat in. 80% of the drawers are filled with personal belongings or legacies from previous tenants (?). Plenty of decorative elements (dried bouquets, wedding photo, etc.) so very little space in the house. In the 1st week the pool was not cleaned, the entry ladder was unstable and was not repaired.

The small, simple house is 800 m away from a paved road, surrounded by olive groves. It has been renovated with attention to detail. The stairs to the upper bedrooms and bathrooms are steep, making it a struggle to get to the top if you are handicapped. The lower rooms - kitchen and fireplace room - are separated by a small staircase. Overall everything is very clean. The garden is large and fenced in, the swimming pool is at your sole disposal.
