Casa delle Fiabe

The welcome is very well done in this little corner of paradise. At the end of a path that crosses the vineyards and olive trees, you will know in what environment you will spend a few days. The house is very large, with several places to eat or have an aperitif. Sheltered on the covered terrace, on the large table that overlooks the valley of olive groves and vineyards. The owner is a winemaker of Chianti, which are excellent, as is his olive oil.

We traveled with a group of friends, including children aged 5-10, and we all loved the house. The swimming pool is great. Our week was hot (+35C) and the house doesn't have air conditioning, so it was a bit too hot inside on a few nights. Plenty of parking for several cars. Good shop and several restaurants nearby. We visited the owner's family's winery for wine tasting, which was great.

The place is incredible, the hosts are welcoming and warm, the house is magnificent. We had an unforgettable stay.

We had a wonderful stay at the authentic stone villa surrounded by vineyards. The house had everything we needed, and help was always available when needed. The pool and peaceful surroundings were perfect. The wine tasting at the estate was a great experience. The owners were kind and welcoming. We especially want to thank R. for her kindness and support. Highly recommended!

Our extended family enjoyed a really lovely, relaxing holiday. The pool was the highlight, with lots of space for the children to enjoy. Really enjoyed the vineyard tour and home cooked meal too!

Beautiful old house surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. You can feel the history and the "soul" of the house, but you're willing to put up with a few squeaky chairs. Only the kitchen equipment could have been a bit more generous - but otherwise very good, especially suitable for larger groups. Great pool, magnificent view, nice and reserved hosts, a cuddly cat that came to visit every day - really nice! Grace mille!

The house is fine...but after there is no house number from the gravel road, not easy to find...unsuitable for the elderly or people who have difficulty walking because there are many stairs of different heights without handrails both in the house and to the pool. Be sure to take mosquito plugs and spray with you (never seen so many mosquitoes). A. and her family, who are very helpful, are particularly positive.

The best thing about the house is the swimming pool. There is no air conditioning: there were two fans, and in the end there was only one working fan. The host didn't want to buy more of them. The old coffee maker worked very slowly. The owner was not going to buy a new one. The entrance road to the cabin is dangerous and the host didn't let us use another, safer road. The refrigerator is not enough for 12, even though the cabin can accommodate 12 people. The shower in one bedroom did not get hot water the whole time. Wifi did not work everywhere in the house.

+ Nice location and enough space - The parking spaces are at the bottom of a steep driveway where it is difficult to get up without four-wheel traction in rain/snow - Wrong contact details (but that should be normal now) - Very expensive to buy the house in the spring/autumn to warm up without having to pay your blue in gas.

The location of the property in the heart of Chianti, 15 km south of Florence, is ideal. The property is spacious with several seats with extensive views of the countryside. It is quiet. The garden and pool are illuminated at night. The kitchen is very well equipped, the beds and bathrooms are good. The only downside is the steep dirt road off terrain.

PROS: historic building, nice, large pool CONS: no sun umbrellas by the pool, some broken furniture, but above all the recklessness of the landlord (lives next door!): his dog barked in front of our windows all night (nightly text messages and phone calls with the landlord didn't help changed), a very noisy outdoor party was held one night. Sleep was out of the question until 3.30am. Party guests(?) at "our" pool! Discussions with the landlord were not helpful.

Old agritourism farm restored in the style of the past. Old authentic interiors, good beds and a super swimming pool. Internet not everywhere via weak wifi. Nice small town in the neighbors with an all-inclusive supermarket a few km away. The domain offers magnificent views of the surrounding hills with their vineyards. Friendly owners who help where they can and where you can buy wine and olive oil from their own fields: very good quality, to be followed. Bad indication location.

Very nice old house with lots of space and history in the middle of the vineyards. Great pool and beautiful view.

With accommodation above a certain price, I also expect good furniture. Unfortunately, the armchairs and the sofa in the living room were very worn. Likewise, there was no comfortable garden furniture .....

I was with my family. Children and granddaughter. Pool large, clean everywhere !! Outdoor seating for meals and coffee. Crazy views - olive groves and vineyards .. There was practically nothing to fault #
