For a day out, the seaside town of Minehead is 12 miles and the beautiful harbours of Porlock (7 miles) and Lynmouth (14 miles) are close by, as well as the sandy beaches of Woolacombe (27 miles) and Putsborough (30 miles) a little further afield.
