Holiday Rental Description

Grooms Cottage is a charming holiday home situated in Ellicombe, a courtyard in Somerset, between the historic village of Dunster and the coastal town of Minehead. The property is one of four self-catering cottages on-site, all of which have access to a shared outdoor heated swimming pool (open May to September) and a beautiful acre of sub-tropical gardens with stunning views of the West Somerset Steam Railway and the Welsh coast.

Ideal for a family of four or a small group of friends, Grooms Cottage features a double bedroom and a twin bedroom on the first floor, as well as an upstairs shower room. The large separate kitchen is perfect for preparing delicious meals, while the outside seating area overlooking the main courtyard provides a lovely spot for al fresco dining.

Guests are welcome to bring their furry friends along, as Grooms Cottage is pet-friendly. Bed linen and towels are provided, with separate towels available for use at the pool. Cleaning materials and basic essentials such as tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, and olive oil are also provided for convenience.

For those who need to stay connected, there is no Wi-Fi, but a good 4G phone signal is available. Additionally, a travel cot and high chair are available upon request. An external laundry room with a freezer, washing machine, and tumble dryer is shared with other properties on-site, and an honesty box system is in place.

Arrival time is from 4 pm, and departure time is by 10 am. A refundable security deposit of £100 is required when booking, and a maximum of two dogs are allowed per cottage. Exceptions may be made for three small dogs upon request, subject to approval by the owners.

Facilities
Freeview TV and DVD player, comfortable seating in the living area, and outside seating overlooking the shared courtyard area . Kitchen with cooker, microwave and fridge.
Upstairs on the first floor are one double bedrooms, one twin room and a shower room, with toilet and hand basin.

There is an external laundry room with freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer, which is shared with other properties on-site (honesty box for use of these facilities).
A travel cot and high chair can be provided, please request this when you make your booking. Please note, bedding will not be provided for the cot.
Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. Grooms Cottage is fitted with gas central heating throughout.
Bed linen and towels are provided for your convenience, separate towels are provided for use at the pool.

Local specialty Miles tea and coffee are provided as well as sugar, salt & pepper and olive oil. A pint of local milk is provided to ensure you can have a hot drink as soon as you arrive.

Cleaning materials such as washing up liquid, dish clothes and cleaning sprays are also provided. Two toilet rolls will be provided.

Dunster is a bustling village comprised of several restaurants, pubs and tea rooms, plus a varied range of independent shops.

Minehead is one of West Somerset's best known and well-loved coastal resorts, nestling as between the slopes of Exmoor and the sea. The town offers a wide range of attractions, including the beach, promenade, harbour, beautiful gardens and colourful tree lined avenue with an array of shops and services. Dominated by the wooded slopes of North Hill, the whole area is renowned for its outstanding natural beauty and there are superb walks over open moor land, through woodland and along the coast.
