The towel rail in the 'en-suite' bathroom gets extremely hot and there is no apparently no means of regulation..

Lovely property, photos do not do it full justice.. The house has been fantastically renovated and is a great size. Despite the current situation we found it to be well equipped and with everything we needed. The setting is beautiful - a quiet country lane surrounded by fields and horses with a footpath leading to walks from the front door. The town is also within 10 mins walk and has everything you would need - a few different pubs, a coop, baker, cafes etc. We would recommend and definitely look to rebook.

This is the second time we have stayed at this cottage and it is so well kept and feels like a home and not just a holiday let.. Great location.

We really enjoyed our week’s stay in beautiful Lane Foot Cottage which is very comfortable, spacious and well equipped.. The garden has a lovely seating area and is also enclosed so was perfect for Millie, our little dog. Fiona, the owner, was really pleasant to deal with and was keen to ensure we had everything we needed. There are great river walks from the cottage and it’s well situated for visiting both the Yorkshire Dales to the east and the Lake District and Morecambe Bay to the west. We definitely intend to return.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Lane Foot Cottage.. Even though the weather wasn’t marvellous we did so much in a week including; The Lake District, Hawes, Ingleborough, Malham Cove / Tarn, Kirby Lonsdale, plenty of walking and even managed a game of golf. The cottage itself was lovely, it was spacious with a gorgeous enclosed garden and was very clean, with everything we needed. Just what we needed as a family after an extended period of ‘lockdown’.

Lovely cottage in the ideal position for exploring the Dales and Lake District.. Spotlessly clean, large spacious rooms with a kitchen that had everything you could possibly need including a slow cooker! Ample parking for 2 cars and the lovely garden was totally secure so perfect for our Cocker Spaniel. Walks from the cottage but Ingleton Falls, Ribblehead Viaduct and Malham Cove are a must.

We have stayed in lots of cottages but Lane Foot Cottage is one of the best.. The cottage was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. As well as a large well equipped kitchen there was a boot room, laundry room and walk in pantry. The sitting room was large and comfortable and the bedrooms were also spacious and comfortable. The secure garden was perfect for our dog and there was plenty of parking for two cars. The area was perfect for walking, we particularly enjoyed the Ingleton Falls- not for the faint hearted! And the Ribblehead Viaduct walk. We will definitely be back in the not too distant future.

Fabulous cottage, well appointed with exceptional attention to detail and everything you could ask for.. Cosy sitting room with log burning stove, beds comfortable just like home and there is loads of room for 6 to sleep, eat and have fun. We had great walks in the area and sampled some Sunday fayre at a local pub and plenty of ale. Otherwise we cooked in the cottage kitchen that has everything to hand. Fiona who looks after the cottage was great she went out of her way to help us with walks and was quick to respond to any queries, we all said we would definitely book again.

A really great cottage, we were wanting a relaxing weekend away with lots of local walks and we had the best time.. The cottage was beautiful and had gorgeous bedrooms and lovely views. Bathrooms are always my biggest pet peeve but these were well equipped with decent showers and extremely clean. We will definitely be renting it again :) Also great that we could pay the housekeeping bond by BACS and not cheque! Fiona was super flexible and great response times. Thanks again!

I booked this cottage to celebrate my birthday with family.. It was perfect - so well appointed and situated. The boot room was especially welcome since we are walkers and the men were particularly appreciative of the 'cellar' room! As for the dog, he enjoyed the flagged floor and the rugs. High Bentham is an ideal location for walks. Ingleborough kept its hat on all the long weekend but the Ingleton waterfalls were spectacular. Hope to be back to do some more exploring in the area.

Everything about this property has been carefully thought through and carried out to a high standard.. Our party was only two people and a dog but it would have been equally comfortable for six people. The kitchen was efficient and well equipped, the bathrooms quite luxurious. The living room spacious and comfortable and the view from the dining table so pleasant that we spent a lot of our leisure time sat there. The village nearby has a number of useful shops and the location is very convenient for exploring West Yorkshire. In spite of rather indifferent weather this was one of our best holidays.

We brought our adult children along too for the weekend, family time all together plus our little dog.. We then stayed on the rest of the week. Amazing location and such a beautiful well appointed cottage. Cosy clean and little details the milk and biscuits were a lovely touch on arrival. A Great village too. Plenty of walks by the river. You would not be dissppointed booking this cottage we are definitely returning. I cant wait. We felt very at home here and had a good relaxed holiday. Thankyou. Sue Sheard

This cottage was absolutely incredible, beautiful layout, modern but kept the original cottage style features to make it cosy.. Lovely surroundings and views from the cottage and brilliant places to visit through out our trip. Would highly recommend this cottage, and the owner is lovely and made us feel very welcome.

Beautiful homely cottage.. We stayed in the cottage from the 11-18 January, 2019 and truly had a fantastic time. The cottage is absolutely stunning and is equipped with everything you would need. There is a boot room/cloak room adjacent to the back door which was very handy to keep our muddy boots and wet coats, ideal. The cottage is very warm and cosy and very clean. We enjoyed ourselves very much and would not hesitate to return. This cottage definitely has the WOW factor.

This is a wonderful holiday cottage in a lovely location with good dog walking from the cottage and a bustling village within walking distance.. We couldn't fault anything at all and thoroughly enjoyed our time at Lane Foot Cottage

Had an amazing time. The cottage itself was lovely, and very clean. The underfloor heating worked a treat and was so nice after being out on a cold rainy dog walk! We used the log burner a few times but it definitely wasn’t necessary for warmth as the heating was so good! We liked it for that cosy feeling :) There are lots of games and dvds to use in the lounge so you’ll never be bored. Our niece also loved the two horses that are right outside the cottage! Make sure you have a cheque book as a refundable bond of £125 is required when staying here (unsure if this is a Sykes Cottages thing or just something this particular owner asks for, payable by cheque only). The owner will post the cheque back out to you if the cottage is left how it was found (no breakages etc). I’ve stayed in a few holiday homes/cottages and this is by far the best. If you are thinking of booking here, do it! You won’t be disappointed!

This is our second visit to this beautiful cottage.. We had a lovely time, shame the weather wasn't better. Great that all the pubs are dog friendly to take shelter from rain. The cottage is stunning and so cosy with the log burner on. We will be back again :-)

This was an exceptional property with everything you would need and more, the photographs do not do it justice.. The surrounding area was beautiful and we had a week full of fabulous walks, saw the caves and waterfalls. If I was having to find fault I would say that the sofas were not that comfortable and the beds were too hard for my poorly back.

Fantastic property with every home comfort .. We had a great week with the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales on our doorstep. For retail therapy you have Penrith, Harrogate, Skipton and lots of other locations within close driving distance. Lots of places to eat out and a great area for walking. An excellent property with a fantastic location, we will definatly be back.

We have stayed in many beautiful cottages over the years and this one is right up there with the very best of them.. Full of character but with state of the art luxury hotel features, such as “raindance” showers, a clawfoot tub and underfloor heating (although the property is so well insulated we didn’t need it!) The house was a real treat, bathed in natural light from clever use of roof lights in the lounge and massive windows in the kitchen/diner. Furnished to a very high standard it made for a wonderfully comfortable stay. Alice our dog loved the garden and the many nearby walks and especially loved swimming in the stream that runs close by. We love to cook and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything you need - even down to a slow cooker! Fiona who met us, was so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Our other guests also agreed that it was the best holiday cottage they had ever stayed in and thoroughly enjoyed their time at Lane Foot Cottage

My family and I had the most wonderful stay at lane foot cottage.. We spent my dad's 60th birthday there and it exceeded all our expectations. Lots of local walks which the dog very much enjoyed, as well as a range of pubs within walking distance. Perfect base for exploring the wider area, we chose to drive out to white scar cave which was about 15 minutes away. We would absolutely love to come back in the future, the only thing we'd change is that we'd definitely come back for longer!

We have had a wonderful family holiday at Lane Foot Cottage.. It was very comfortable, spacious, very well equipped and had the bonus of a utility and downstairs WC not mentioned in the listing but an added bonus to a family holiday with a dog. The garden is beautiful, garden furniture and BBQ and a great place for our girls to play. The location of the cottage is fantastic and very well placed for walks from the door as well as visiting places such as The Forest of Bowland, Malham Cove and even the Morecambe Bay coast. The walks from the door along the river were very picturesque. This is definitely somewhere we would love to return to and the owner was very friendly and approachable and made sure we had everything at the cottage for a fantastic family holiday.

We had a fantastic holiday.. It’s very home from home and we would recommend to anyone. We will definitely be booking to go back. Only thing to take note of is we didn’t feel it was particularly toddler friendly. There was no stair gate available so we took our own and also no fire guard so we were very nervous of using the fire before our 11 month old Baby went to bed. Otherwise it’s perfect. There are some lovely walks on your doorstep which we took advantage of and lots of lovely places to visit that are not too far away.

This beautiful cottage was our home as the "beast from the east" hit the UK - and was a perfect winter home for a week.. Having visited a couple of local walks for a day or two, when the snow arrived we didn't need to move the car. The walks, amenities, food, drink, shops and restaurants in town were all open, the Yorkshire spirit alive and well, and the lambing season underway even when the temperature hit -10. A stunning holiday in a beautiful cottage. The cottage actually stops you wanting to go out !

Beautiful cottage, lovingly done up, thought gone into every aspect of house, in making it comfortable.. Kitchen was very well stocked, lots of crockery so we could use the dishwasher. Very well lit through out. Great to have a cloakroom for wet boots and coats. Showers were fantastic. Views stunning out of the windows upstairs. Lots of walks from the doorstep. Railway station few minutes away, great bonus. You could come here without a car, but also go lots of places like Morecambe or Skipton on the train.

This is a lovely cottage.. The location is great, and it is very clean and warm! The cottage also has an open plan layout (including a large kitchen), which is great for a big group to spend time together. Would definitely recommend!

We had an amazing week at Lane Foot cottage, the online photo's do not do it justice.. The location of the cottage for exploring the local area was fantastic with public footpaths directly from the doorstep. Inside the cottage was beautiful, homely, very warm and spotlessly clean. Ideal for a family of 5 and 1 dog who loved the enclosed garden. I have already recommended to friends and would also book to stay again. Thank you to Fiona who made us feel very welcome.

We stayed in Feb with our three children and dog Big wow when we walked and settled straight away. The host Fiona has furnished the house to a very high standard and we loved it. Lazy days/nights in front of the log burner. Plenty of walks around the area , Bentham is a lovely village , all pubs and restaurants extremely dog and child friendly. Shoet drive to some beautiful places We've just booked again for next year !! Would recommend if you need a break away and to be comfortable for a week

Accommodation and finishes far exceeded what we expected from details.. From built in wardrobes to space downstairs. Lovely views and patio area. Easy walk to station and village, Coach House pub well worth the walk. Great place, certainly worth a revisit, the best yet.

April 2017
We loved staying at the cottage, it has everything you need for a comfortable holiday.. Beautiful walks are on the doorstep. The cottage advert doesn't make much mention of the garden, but it should as it's a superb size backing onto fields with attractive stone brick walls. The views behind the cottage are that of open fields. We loved the powerful shower in the en suite, that was a great way to start the day. The huge bath tub in the main bathroom was a great way to relax after a days walking and sight seeing. The cottage is in a perfect location to explore Yorkshire and Cumbria. We would definitely go back.
