Grosmont, which is known for being the site of the North York Moors Steam Railway, is located in the "Heartbeat Country." Since 1973, the Railway has been maintained and administered by enthusiasts, and it now serves more than 300,000 travellers annually. A general store, post office, bookstore, art gallery, cafes, and a tavern can be found in the village. It serves as a wonderful starting point for seeing the numerous charming farming communities along the Esk Valley, the larger North York Moors National Park, and the North Yorkshire Coastline with its charming harbour towns and villages.
