Visitors will find enough to do in Kirkbymoorside's various tea shops, pubs, and restaurants, there's even an 18-hole golf course. Hutton-le-Hole and other attractive towns are nearby, as is the National Park's great walking. Pickering, home to the North York Moors Steam Railway, is a must-see, as are the area's museums, castles, trout fishing, and market towns. Additionally, York and East Coast resorts are easily accessible by car.
