Looking for a home close to the water's edge? This cottage, perched between Burano Lake and Capalbio Beach, should do nicely. While there's no swimming pool here, with the sea just a short bike ride away (your host can arrange hire), it's easy to escape the Tuscan heat. Part of an exclusive beach resort, a concierge is on hand, and the nearby beach clubs are handy. For anything else, you'll need to drive to the nearby medieval village of Capalbio, just a few kilometres away. If we were being picky, the kitchen feels small compared to the rest of the home. But we can let that slide with such a vast veranda outside and those lakeside views.
Home truths: *Due to this home's location, we recommend hiring a car, and there is parking outside of the cottage.
*The cottage has direct access to the beach via a country road. The beach itself isn't private, but it's normally only frequented by other resort guests.
*The kitchen is on the small side, and there isn't room for all ten guests to sit around the kitchen table. But there is ample space for dining in the living area and outside.
*One of the bedrooms has two bunk beds sleeping four guests and is better suited to children.
