The lodge was very spacious and clean with loads of storage space in bedrooms and kitchen and the fully enclosed paddock was great for our dog.. It was in a quiet and secluded location but with easy access to great areas for walking. We had lovely walks each day until the weather deteriorated towards the end of the week.

Due to the current Covid-19 situation Keith the owner explained every step that had been taken to insure that we had a safe as possible stay in Whorlton Lodge.. We have been holidaying in the Lodge for around 4 years now and we still look forward to our visits with the same eagerness as our very first visit. Both Angela and Keith are such a lovely couple, if you have any issues or concerns regarding anything they are always ready to help you. The views from the Lodge are outstanding and the peice and quietness is so relaxing. We have already booked our next vist.

The lodge was luxurious and in an idyllic setting that allowed my parents and I to relax away from the busyness of our usual day-to-day lives.. The pictures online didn’t do the lodge justice- it was beautiful! We had everything we needed and more. The owner Keith was helpful and full of local knowledge. We really enjoyed spending our New Years Eve at this wonderful accommodation and we will not hesitate to recommend it to our family and friends.

Fantastic, spacious lodge, beautiful views, lovely bedding, great facilities (both bedrooms had walk in wardrobes) .. Wonderful totally enclosed garden around the lodge (fenced and meshed) with gate into very large adjoining dog walk. Lovely enclosed decking with table and chairs. Would totally recommend. Ps Stokesley, Helmsley, Runswick Bay, Whitby and York are lovely.

Lovely secluded lodge.. Views amazing even in the rain which we had more than our fair share. Helpful host . Plenty of dog friendly places to eat locally. Lovely enclosed area around the lodge and a paddock to walk your dog. Would love to go again when the weather is better.

Whorlton Lodge is in an idyllic setting, and the views from the little decking area were gorgeous, its a perfect spot to get away from the hustle and bustle.. But I also need to mention that the Lodge was spotless, and very nice bright and airy. We will return!

The only observation I would make is the access.. The steps are quite steep and those with mobility problems may have difficulty. Perhaps a long ramp would be the answer.

The lodge was in the middle of a paddock and was sited so that the views from the patio were absolutely breathtaking - the hills changed colour in different weather's.. Will definitely book to go again or a different Sykes location. Thank you keith and sykes for a lovely stress free holiday

Lovely location with fantastic owners who are helpful and nothing too much trouble.. I booked the holiday on behalf of a person I support and they were very accommodating with little things that helped the holiday run that little bit smoother like easy check in when we arrived at the venue and even cutting the grass after we checked out so that the noise did not disturb the person I was supporting. The accommodation was spotless and had everything we needed, very spacious and storage space was excellent. Everything finished to a high standard.

I contacted the owner a couple of days prior to our holiday to ask if we could use the high chair for my grandson, which we have used before on previous visits to the property.. He explained that the high chair was already booked for clients that were in the cottage(s) for the same time period as us. He would look into it and let me know. When we arrived at the lodge it looks like he had obtained a brand new high chair just for the occasion. Absolutely wonderful! We have stayed in the lodge quite a few times, whenever there is a problem, whatever it is, Keith the owner, tries his utmost to make sure we are happy and comfortable. It is one of the reasons, amongst many, that we keep returning.

The lessee's motto is "Arrive as strangers and leave as friends.. " This was our second stay at Pottofields farm and their motto really is genuine. I will be going to stay there again.
