Our stay was just perfect for our Valentine's weekend away.. We really could not find any fault at all with this beautiful little cottage. Wish we could have stayed longer - it was amazing, perfect location, so lovely and peaceful and the owners made us feel so welcome. Loved it.

Hobbits provided all we could reasonably expect for two people.. It was warm and cosy without needing to light the wood-burner. This was the first time we'd stayed in a cottage that was not in walking distance of a pub/restaurant, and that did make a difference to the pattern of our days. Less local walking, more going out by car to local highlights. Which are many and varied..In two weeks we never ran short of things to do each day.

Hobbits is located in a lovely secluded spot away from any road noise.. The hosts are very pleasant and the wood burner is a great addition for the winter months. The cottage is a good base to explore Whitby and other coastal bays in the east. Inland its a great base to visit York. The Railway museum in York has free entry and is huge with a good collection and 2 cafe's. Highly recommended accommodation.

We've already recommended it to friends and hope to return next year as there is so much to see and do in the area.
