Dumbuie is a beautifully refurbished townhouse situated on one of the main streets in the heart of the popular Northumberland town of Haltwistle and can sleep ten people in five bedrooms. On the ground floor there is a cosy sitting room with an open fire, and a modern kitchen/diner with a dining table large enough to seat all guests. There are four stylish double bedrooms on the first floor, along with a contemporary family bathroom and a master double bedroom featuring a beautiful en-suite bathroom can be found on the second floor. Outside, there is an enclosed courtyard with garden furniture, and off road parking for two cars. Drambuie is a fabulous property in a fantastic area for that long awaited family holiday.

Five bedrooms: 1 x second floor super king-size double (zip/link can be twin on request) with en-suite slipper bath, shower over, basin and WC. 3 x king size (zip/link can be 2'6" twin on request). 1 x double. 2 x First floor bathrooms. 1 x bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC and 1 x separate bathroom with shower cubicle, basin and WC. Ground floor basin and WC. Kitchen with dining area.. Sitting room with open fire. Boot room.

Area
Known as the 'Centre of Britain', the small market town of Haltwhistle is a great place from which to explore both Northumberland and Cumbria. One of the best preserved stretches of Hadrian's Wall is only a mile to the north with various museums, forts and milecastles to be seen. This truly is magnificent walking, riding and cycling country, with various bridleways and cycle routes passing rivers, forests, castles and of course, Hadrian's Wall.

Great house with everything that you could possibly need. Party of 8 stayed in the property. Lindsey the owner sent over directions how to get here, the do’s and don’t s. Arranged for balloons to be collected and in the house for when we arrived. Great base for walks up to Hadrians wall, local shops and restaurants

Just returned from a week at Dumbuie with friends. The property is situated in the centre of Haltwhistle, within easy walking distance of shops, pubs, take-aways, etc. It's also a prime spot for touring the area. We took in nearby Hadrian's Wall, Hexham, Carlisle, etc, as well as venturing further to Bamburgh Castle and Lindisfarne. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking meals for larger groups, and the long dining table easily seats everyone! I was also impressed with the speed at which the owner responded to my emails when I raised a couple of minor issues. Highly recommended.

Had a lovely stay over the Easter weekend and a few days more .. There were 10 of us and there was ample space for us all ......the house was very well equipped and had everything we needed .we had lovely weather and were able to sit out at the back .which had wicker furniture and a lovely big sun umbrella for those wishing to be in the shade .there was parking for two cars but more parking across the road if needed .The property was on the high street so handy for the shops and pubs /fish and chip shops and A great Indian take away .because the weather was so good we took advantage of the out door swimming pool in the village which was great for the grandchildren who had a great time .there was a flume and a small play area .it was in an ideal spot to see the local places of interest and not far from Hexham and Carlisle .would highly recommend

Lovely accommodation to stay in.. Well equipped kitchen, cosy lounge area and very comfortable bedrooms. The bedroom / en suite on the top floor was lovely. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

Dumbuie is a beautiful house.. It just feels so welcoming. The kitchen is well equipped for all needs. The yard is excellent for keeping the dogs safe when coming and going. It is ideal for a big family party and get together. Lindsey was very helpful and really lovely to talk to. Haltwhistle is a lovely town catering for all our needs. The surrounding area was great for walking the dogs and an added bonus, Hadrian's Wall was only a short drive away.

Wonderful house in the centre of a beautiful market village.. Loads of space and very comfy. The attention to detail is exceptional such as the boot scrub and underfloor heating. Lindsey left a welcome pack and as we hired the house over Xmas also decorated it for us. There are some lovely walks in the area as well as lovely local pubs to visit. Thanks for letting us visit your beautiful house we will be back soon.

This house is ideal for a large group of family and friends.. It has a well equipped spacious kitchen, that has ample seating for 10 people with room to extend to 12. The sitting area is cosy but again with plenty of seating. Most bedrooms adapt to twins which allows more flexibility on who can stay. The bathrooms are well situated to the bedrooms, they are spacious and give all options for showering or having a bath. The house also benefits from its location. Close to all amenatives, shops, restaurants, pubs and supermarkets. Easy access to Hadrains Wall and close to beautiful countryside. Would return.

Perfect location for Hadrian's Wall hikers, just around the corner from AD122 bus stop.. Great place to come back to every night after hiking, with very comfortable beds and plenty of space. Kitchen/dining space makes great gathering place!

Had a very enjoyable long weekend with the family at Dumbuie.. Very comfortable with plenty of room for everyone. We were very lucky with the weather and enjoyed eating out in the lovely, well equipped courtyard. Would definitely recommend this property.

We had a great family stay at this holiday home. Lovely immaculately clean house that had everything we needed as a party of 7. Huge kitchen which had all the essentials plus more. Nice touch of a welcome pack with bread, milk and butter waiting on arrival. The outside area was great too. We were lucky enough to get glorious weather. And ate every meal outside (including breakfast!) Large house with ample room for 10 guests. 3 bathrooms and a cosy lounge area with Wi-Fi and Netflix (kids were chuffed) Located in a nice village with a lovely pub near by and close to shops etc. Great base for visiting the surrounding area. Our family had a fantastic time. Thank you Dumbuie x

It had easy access to the Carlisle to Newcastle rail line and allowed us to visit both Hexham and Tynemouth during our short stay..

The key safe is behind a 6 foot gate at the rear of the property but there isn't a name on the gate to let you know you're at the correct gate.. A simple sign or a note in the key collection instructions to go through the grey/green painted door would avoid the confusion.

This house was exactly what our family and friends needed! A big space to [..] get twelve of us seated for Sunday dinner and to celebrate a big birthday [...] Lindsey is lovely and could not have been more accommodating for our needs and I have to give a very special mention to Diane, the cleaner, who is a star!
