Greenslades is a delightful, detached house in Exford, in the Exmoor National Park. With four bedrooms, a super king-size double with en-suite, a king-size double with en-suite, a double and a twin, it sleeps eight people comfortably. There is also a family bathroom, a ground floor cloakroom with basin and WC, a kitchen with dining area and woodburner, and a sitting room with open fire. Outside, there is a garage with games table, off road parking for six cars and a private garden (front, rear and side (enclosed)) with patio and furniture. Surrounded by the National Park, Greenslades is a fantastic property.

Bathroom with bath, separate shower, basin and WC. Ground floor basin and WC. Kitchen with dining area and woodburner. Utility. Sitting room with double sofa bed and woodburner. Garage with table tennis.

Despite some awful weather this did not detract from the rural setting of this cottage, if you want to get away from it all this is the place.. Just far enough out of the village to be secluded. It was great to experience what real darkness is and listen to the country nightlife. The local owls make you smile and the buzzards in the early morning are a treat and i am sure on a really quiet still morning the deer can be heard in the distance at this time of year. Yes you need a car but being in the center of the national park all roads lead somewhere and each one takes you across the moors in a different direction with always something to see.

This is the third time we have stayed at Greenslades and will probably stay again.. We are familiar with the property and It is comfortable and well equipped especially for a winter booking. There was only one mishap during the week when the gardeners visited and did not secure the gate after their visit. Sadly the wind blew the gate open onto one of our cars and scratched it.

Greenslades was a perfect cottage to spend time with family and friends, celebrating my birthday! Well equipped, comfortable and warm with the log fires banishing any chills from the snowy weather outside. Walking distance to village shop and pubs. Exmoor easily accessible for longer hikes and walks. Starry skies a real treat. The chocolate cake on arrival for delicious! Would love to go back soon!

Very well equipped and it was a home from home.. The only improvement we would strongly recommend would be a thick curtain over the front door as it was extremely draughty. Better instructions for the use of the tv would have been helpful

We had a really lovely stay in this tardis like holiday cottage.. Such a lovely setting and property. Definitely recommend. We were two families of four and a dog. Garden was perfect for enjoying the late September sunshine. Great village not far down the road. We had a great meal in the Crown and the kids loved the park and the café.

Greenslades is a fabulous holiday cottage, well equipped and such comfortable beds! It is situated in wonderful countryside, horse riders trotted past the window as we sat eating breakfast much to the delight of the grandchildren. The stunning North Devon coast is about a 30 minute drive away across the moor but what a beautiful drive and so worth it. We visited Lynton and Lynmouth for a ride in the cliff railway and then some rockpooling, a first for the grandchildren and happy memories for their dad! Booking through Sykes was straightforward and we were kept up to date with all the necessary information to ensure that we had a hassle free holiday. Highly recommended all round ☺

Greenslades was lovely and the standard of the facilities was impressive.. It was a beautiful location and as the weather was chilly we used the log burning stoves and felt really cosy. Particularly liked the comfy beds and en suite facilities and found it highly suitable for a two family holiday.

The cottage was excellent - clean, comfortable and warm.. The owners provided everything we needed, even things like hairdryers and torches. The children enjoyed the table tennis and the adults appreciated the comfortable beds and the open fire. It was the perfect place to enjoy half term with three generations of our family.

A really lovely cottage which was finished to a high standard. There was plenty of room for eight of us and it had everything you could possibly need. It was very peaceful and the beds were comfortable. It is a great location if you want to go walking, with lots to do at a close distance by car.

The standard of the accommodation was excellent, it was lovely to have quality towels and bed linen supplied. The location was ideal for exploring all parts of Exmoor and the village was able to supply all our local needs and one trip to Minehead satisfied the main shop. We all enjoyed our visit so much we have re-booked for the end of October.

This is a lovely property which is very well equipped and located. We slept amazingly well as it is so peaceful! We particularly liked the huge kitchen with the big table, it made a great gathering place with the log burner making it even cosier. The dark sky took our breath away. Highly recommended!

We have stayed in a lot of lovely holiday cottages through Sykes and I can honestly say this was the best. The property could not be faulted in any way. It was in a really good central position for walking on Exmoor and it was furnished and equipped to a really high standard. The cottage was very spacious and the bathrooms and kitchen were excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend this cottage.

A lovely cottage, furnished to a high standard with everything we needed in the kitchen. There was lots of space, even as a party of 8 we didn't feel on top of one another. My favourite room was the kitchen, spending evenings around the large kitchen table in front of the wood burning stove. It was a very quiet area, the only sound you could hear were the sheep in the field across the road. Would recommend this property if you want a quiet relaxing holiday.

Good private location and not over looked. An Excellent accommodation - great taste of decor, bed linen warm and nothing over looked. Very friendly locals,good pubs in walking distance,the added bonus was to be able to take my beloved Labrador who also enjoyed the stay as much as my sister and myself. Loved the bench at the top of garden for our GT in the evenings.

The cottage was decorated to such a high standard it made the holiday very enjoyable and relaxing. The location was prefect for our relaxing weekend away from the hustle and bustle of Bristol. Couldn't have asked for anything more!
