Two delightful, unique and historic cottages for a perfect holiday home. Situated in the old market town of Richmond in North Yorkshire, both cottages are within a few minutes walk of the Market Place with its interesting local shops, restaurants and pubs and a similarly short walk to the River Swale and woodland walks.

Each cottage sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms. Garden Cottage has en suite master bedroom, off street parking and private, enclosed, south facing garden. Old Cello Workshop has a king-size double, two bathrooms, off-road parking for two small or one large car and west-facing patio area.

Children are welcome as are well mannered dogs - and we don't charge extra for one or two guest dogs. Prices are all inclusive of crisp white bed linen, fluffy white towels, toiletries, washing up necessities and heat and light, plus, there are no booking fees when you book direct with us.

Both cottages are inspected by VisitEngland and have 4* Gold Standard ratings and Garden Cottage is inspected by the prestigious Alastair Sawday holiday company.

Richmond is a fascinating and beautiful town established by the Normans, as evidenced by the towering keep of Richmond castle. There are also three museums, an abbey, the fabulous Georgian Theatre Royal, a three screen cinema in the restored Victorian railway station, where you will also find artisan shops and a welcoming cafe/bar. The River Swale wends its way around the edge of town and there are beautiful walks from the doors of the cottages.

Within minutes drive you are in the heart of Swaledale and not much longer to Wensleydale and all the smaller tributary dales that run from the two. Masses to do nearby as well as in Richmond.
