Area The small village of Seaton, near Hornsea has a pub, The Swan Inn, as well as a bus service. The pretty seaside town of Hornsea is situated on the East Coast, with this old Victorian resort offering long, wide, safe sandy beaches and an attractive promenade with well-kept gardens. The bustling town centre has an old-fashioned feel with a good variety of small shops, pubs and cafes, whilst nearby Hornsea Mere is the largest natural lake in Yorkshire and offers sailing, fishing and boat trips. Hornsea Freeport is popular for shopping, whilst Bempton Cliffs RSPB reserve can be reached in just over half an hour's drive. Also within driving distance are the historic city of York and Hull, the city of Culture in 2017. Seaton is a lovely base for exploring the area.
