Area
Annan is a town resting on the banks of the River Annan in Dumfries and Galloway, not far from Gretna and the Solway Coast. The town offers a host of amenities including shops, pubs and restaurants, and is actually steeped in history as it was once the site of Roman camps. The area surrounding Annan is bursting with unspoilt coastlines, scenic countryside and one of Scotland's finest ruined castels, Caerlaverock Castle.

Excellent holiday home run to really professional standards, very well equipped, and the cleanest stay this year at a holiday rental Genius is the bed linen which is first class and professionally laundered for a sound sleep. Close by friendly neighbours that give the area a lovely long gone community feel was very interesting Two gardens to relax in and very close to the beach and wooded walks. Powfoot hotel was ideal for a light lunch just a short walk away, or coffee and cakes with the warmest of welcomes Best was an enchanted one hour stroll through a hidden lakeside park just in front of the property where young deer roam and glimpses of wild meadow flowers can be admired was a such a highlight. Well positioned to explore castles, Bird sanctuary, and beaches within an hour max, Rockcliffe was a firm favourite, but avoid Southerness beach as its sadly very scruffy

What a difference a day makes. Stunning views from the house. Alistair and Chris have a stunning house with lovely beach a very short walk away. With 2 places to eat or drink within walking distance, what more do you want. Shopping in Annan is about 8 mins drive away or Dumfries is about 20 mins if you want a bigger selection. Nice quiet area which will be ideal in the Summer. If you are looking for 5 Star accommodation then this is it. We had a great stay here and I will be back, as a famous star said....
