We had a great time in Castellina. The location of the house couldn't be better: you live in an absolutely quiet location but within walking distance of the very romantic village of Castellina with excellent restaurants, supermarket, etc. The property is ideal for dog owners: plenty of space to run around and completely fenced in. F. is a very friendly host and can always be reached via WhatsApp. Unfortunately, at the end of September 2024 we didn't have such nice weather and an extremely large number of mosquitoes (bring mosquito repellent!)

We stayed during late September and the weather was not always kind to us (cold, rainy). However, we loved being so close to the village and it's many restaurants. The facilities were good but could do with a little face-lift and refit. For example, we found an ironing board but no iron (not a problem for us really) and the kitchen tap had become very wobbly. The host was very friendly and being able to chat with him via WhatsApp proved useful several times.

The house is in a secluded location below Castellina in Chianti. Absolutely quiet and undisturbed. Nevertheless, one is on foot in little more than 5 minutes in the place. The house is clean and nicely furnished, terrace and patio are very nice. The pool is small at 6m long to refresh yourself in summer and to splash around with children, but it is perfectly adequate. If you are looking for a house for up to 4 people, this is the perfect place for you.
