This Florentine apartment is near San Frediano, previously named one of the world’s coolest neighbourhoods – so you know you’re staying in a good spot. It’s close to local eateries, boutiques, and artisan studios, yet just a short stroll across the Arno from the main sights. Set over three floors, it’s a great pick for a group getaway, with sofa beds to sleep four people. The attic bedroom and bathroom are a little cosy, so you’ll need to mind your head. But this quirk just adds to the charm of the place, which has hints of character throughout.

Home truths:
*At full occupancy, four guests will sleep on the two sofa beds in the living areas on the ground and first floor.
*The ceiling in some areas is on the low side, particularly in the attic en-suite where the ceiling height ranges from 1.8m to 1.53m. It might not be suitable for taller guests.
*Although the entrance to this home is on the ground floor, the apartment is set over three levels, so you'll need to be able to climb stairs here.
