The older part of the village is in a conservation area, with a long and interesting history and wide range of architecture, with the oldest buildings being nearly of medieval origin, now carefully restored. The village is home to three pubs and a collection of shops, including a butchers and a small restaurant. The village is also famous for its links with the romantic poets Samuel Taylor Coleridge and William Wordsworth. Nether Stowey is a pretty village perfect for a break away to take in some local history and explore the Somerset headland.
