The older part of the hamlet, which is in a conservation area, has a rich history and a variety of architectural styles, with the oldest structures dating back almost to the Middle Ages and having recently undergone thorough restoration. Three pubs, several stores, a butcher, and a small restaurant can be found in the settlement. The town is renowned for its connections to the romantic poets William Wordsworth and Samuel Taylor Coleridge. A getaway to Nether Stowey is the ideal way to learn about the area's history and discover the Somerset Headland.
