Harbour View is a terraced property in Watchet in Somerset. This cottage sleeps five people in three bedrooms, consisting of two doubles and one single, as well as a bathroom. The cottage also has a kitchen, a dining room with gas fire and a sitting room. Outside there's off-road parking for two cars and a lawned garden with furniture. Harbour View is a delightful holiday home with walks from the village, sandy beaches nearby and wonderful countryside to explore. Note: Harbour View Cottage Watchet. Proposal of renovation. On entrance to the cottage there will be a large entrance lobby housing a new boiler and area for coats and boots etc. The old bathroom will be converted into a utility room with an extra ground floor toilet. All flooring will be replaced and the walls retiled and painted. The wall separating the dining room and lounge will be removed to create a modern open plan kitchen diner lounge area. With new appliances, new laminated flooring and lighting. The walls will be skimmed and painted. Going upstairs there will be new carpeting, removal of the old wallpaper and newly skimmed and painted walls. Upstairs the new carpeting continues and what used to be the single bedroom will now become a bathroom. Tiling throughout and new shower, toilet and vanity unit. The two bedrooms upstairs will have the walls skimmed and painted and a new carpet. Please note the maximum number of people the cottage can accommodate will be 4 people. No pets and no children under 5 remains the same as in the previous agreement.

Area
The Somerset village of Watchet offers a harbour and a selection of shops, while the West Somerset Railway passes the village and continues through scenery to the coastal town of Minehead. There are walks along the coast, plus the Brendon Hills and Exmoor are close by for countryside heaven.

Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 2 cars. Lawned garden with furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shops, pubs and restaurants 5 mins walk. Harbour 2 mins walk. Note: This property is only suitable for children over 6 years, inc. infants. Note: Check-in time 4:30pm, check-out time 10am.

Cottage was clean and fantastic location but I was somewhat surprised to be told on instructions regards the wi fi code Not to download adult content! Found this slightly offensive myself but my teenagers found it hilarious especially as there was a 50 shades of grey book on the shelf... For this reason only I would not be returning to this cottage

Nice warm cosy cottage, excellent directions and information.. Ideal location over looking the harbour. However, need to be aware that staying out of high season does mean not all attractions and restaurants are open.

Excellent cottage in a great location, really handy for the amenities of Watchet.. Only tricky part was finding the key box in the dark on arrival as it's not on the front of the property itself but on one of the buildings/sheds oppposite.

Lovely cottage, only thing was we arrived as stated after 4.. 30, it was dark and raining and as Sykes had sent the code for the key safe I didn't think there would be a problem. The key safe was tucked away at the property and there were several other decoys! The owner had sent an email telling us where it was but that had gone to spam and as I said I had the code so wasn't expecting any other email so didn't check spam!

Excellent cottage, very comfortable and situated in Watchet, one of our favourite holiday destinations on the UK.. Have nothing but praise for Juliet, the property owner, who promptly sorted out a minor problem when we reported it. We will definitely go back there for another holiday in a year or so.

Cottage was an excellent choice, great position, amazing views, although it was well equiped if you wanted to cook and eat in there are so many lovely places to eat in and around Watchet, we managed a different venue every night.. The Salvation Army Coffee Morning on Friday 9.30-11.30 is worth a visit, open to all, very warm welcome offering Tea, Coffee and Cake just 50p each and you can watch the trains as the hall overlooks the station.

House location was great and so convenient for the town and local shops ie short walk over the rail crossing and into the car park at the back of the shops.. Views were great and the steam railway at the "end of the garden" was a bonus. The only drawback for us...and this was a personal thing...was that the bathroom was downstairs and am used to an en suite. it was lovely to sit in the garden in the afternoon/evening with our drink it was so quiet and plenty of birds enjoying the bird bath in the garden! Great views - it was a joy to wake up in the morning to open the blinds and see the harbour and sea. Lucky for us the weather was fine. Our first visit ot Somerset. Did find the roads a bit of a problem....ie it took ages to get anywhere ,,,,down the narrow bendy and twisty roads when we are used to main road and motorways.
