We stayed at Garden house at the end of May and thoroughly enjoyed it! The cottage has everything you need for a very comfortable holiday (even down to an egg slicer!) The views are amazing and you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere, but actually within a few minutes in the car you can visit some wonderful places such as Carsington Water, Heights of Abraham (caves and cable cars) Bakewell (beautiful place where you can post a REAL bakewell pudding) and Alton Towers is about half an hour away.
Upon arrival the table was laid out for dinner which we thought was a lovely personal touch. The cleanliness throughout was fantastic. The only downside was the shower, as it is a handheld one, so would be great if there was a hook and a shower curtain for ease of use!
We also found that phone signal's varied here. I have Vodafone and managed to pick up a signal but my boyfriend is on Orange and didn't pick up a signal at all. Also our 3G didn't work. This is by no means a criticism, as we thought being in a rural spot this may happen, we just thought it was a good point to inform others.
We were also met a few times by the owners dog who was very friendly :)
We would definitely recommend this cottage to others and would love to go back again.
