Woodpecker Lodge is a wooden barn conversion situated near Langport in Somerset. It boasts one super king-size zip/link bedroom with an en-suite, it can sleep two people. The interior also includes an open-plan living area containing a kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area. To the outside you will find plenty of off-road parking and a gravelled courtyard with furniture. Woodpecker Lodge is a fabulously converted barn enjoying a peaceful location, well-placed for exploring the marvellous towns, countryside and coastline of the area.

All ground floor. One bedroom: 1 x super king-size (zip/link, can be twins on request) with en-suite walk-in shower, basin and WC. Open-plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area.

The historic market town of Langport in the Somerset levels, at the crossing point of the River Parrett. Its central location makes it a thriving hub for local villages and an ideal base to explore the surrounding area, as well as the Somerset Levels, one of England’s most unchanged Landscapes.

Somerset offers 3 Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty - the Quantock, Mendip and Blackdown Hills. Lose yourself in the glory of nature, take a ride on a steam train, visit a traditional farmers’ market or explore your mystical side at Glastonbury.

This is an excellent location perfectly sited to explore the counties of Somerset and Dorset .. The owners Fiona and Gary are very welcoming and well organised .The accommodation is excellent ,well equipped and very comfortable .One of the best holidays we have had ,so quiet and peaceful at Henley .

The welcome from hosts was lovely.. The lodge has everything you need and I really mean everything even down to dishwasher tabs! It was spotlessly clean, the décor is beautiful and little extras such as cake, choice,dog treats, etc very thoughtful. It is the perfect retreat away from a busy world especially for couples with a dog or baby. PS it also has wi-fi if you have to stay in touch. Just perfect really so will certainly be going back. PPS it has a brilliant walk in shower so good for easy access.

We had a fantastic holiday in a beautiful cottage everything we could wish for Gary and Fiona were perfect host.. Nothing was too much trouble a beautiful cake was waiting for us as well as chocolate and biscuits for our dog.

I have just returned from Woodpecker Lodge today after a fantastic week there with my husband and two dogs.. The five star property really did exceed our expectations!It is a beautifully renovated barn in the peaceful hamlet of Henley situated down a quiet country lane, with several walks from the door. The Lodge is fitted out with absolutely everything you may need for a comfortable stay, with a secure area to let the dogs out and to leave your vehicle Lots of interesting places to visit and plenty of beaches not too far away which the dogs loved. The hosts Fiona and Gary were very helpful and welcoming, providing a hamper with extras which was much appreciated-bread milk cake chocolates and even doggie biscuits ,towels and dog bags. They gave us plenty of useful information regarding the area and were around if needed but were never intrusive at all. Many thanks for your hospitality We cannot recommend this holiday home enough and look forward to returning to this lovely corner of the country which has something to interest all ages , hopefully next year

The cottage was equipped with everything you could need or want.. The location was perfect for exploring Somerset. The owners Fiona and Gary were fantastic, from the welcoming pack, personally, with local information, they were like the 'best neighbours' you could want............they made the stay at Woodpecker Lodge exceptional. The cottage was like home from home with 'extras'. And we will definitely be recommending it to All our friends.

The Lodge was fantastic - there was nothing they hadn't thought of! it was beautifully decorated/laid out. Fiona and Gary were a very nice couple who are next door if you have any questions/needs - they were helpful and kind. Fabulous central position to explore Somerset, parts of Avon/Devon and Dorset (a car would probably be the best way to see the area). The scenery is breath taking. The only small issue to be aware of is you don't get any O2 cover (may get other service providers!?) if you need phone or internet urgently, but Gary and Fiona have wifi set up now to assist with internet, which is great. This was our first taste of "dog friendly cottages", having sold our caravan, and we were very impressed. We would recommend Sykes, and specifically this lodge, to anyone. We had a lovely time. Superb in every respect.. One of the best propertied we have been to. Couldn't fault it in any way. Equipment, furnishings, location, all top class. The hosts, Fiona and Gary, could not have done more for us. We would recommend Woodpecker Lodge without hesitation.

Staying at Woodpecker lodge provided a tranquil setting for our rather busy schedule of exploring Somerset and Dorset with a view of moving to this area.. It was always enjoyable after a day out to return to the peace and quiet of the cottage. Gary and Fiona could not have been better hosts and our Maltese dog settled in very well. We certainly would return in the future.

The hosts are fantastic & this little cottage was a lovely find! The cottage is so clean and had everything you could ask for. The cottage is perfectly located for exploring rural Somerset. We would highly recommend Pitney farm shop for an excellent breakfast!!

Woodpecker Lodge is set in a beautiful rural location within easy reach of nearby towns and amenities.. The cottage itself has been decorated and equipped to an exceptionally high standard with everything you could ever need for a relaxing break away. Fiona and Gary were fantastic hosts and made us and our whippet most welcome and were on hand to answer any questions we had. We couldn’t recommend Woodpecker Lodge enough and we hope to return again for a longer break away.
