Mr Rowlands
May 2019
The cottage was superb, very clean and spacious, with everything we needed for the long weekend stay.. Milk in the fridge and a bottle of wine on arrival was very nice, and all amenities was catered for, including a huge field for the kids to play in outside the back door. The secluded location was peaceful and enjoyable, and yet central and easy to access all the surrounding areas we planned to visit. Definitely recommend. Enjoy.

We enjoyed a stress free holiday, very beautiful place to stay, great views.. Everything that one might need is provided and exceeded our expectations. The bottle of wine was a nice surprise. Thank you to the the hosts for renovating such a beautiful building and seeing the other buildings that they did as well. The wet room is brilliant. The bed is also a very nice touch. Will want to come back again.

Wheal Kitty is a lovely cottage in a quiet and beautiful location, ideally positioned to access beaches and seaside towns.. If you have not visited Cornwall before this is a perfect place to stay. The cottage owners are lovely, very friendly and welcoming.

The property and the surroundings were lovely.. It was situated in a very quiet location off the beaten track but central for lots of Cornwalls tourist destimations and beaches. The owners met us on arrival to answer any queries and although they were near if we needed them our visit to the cottage was very private. The online booking, key collection etc was hassle free. Very pleased with our choice of Sykes, Cornwall and Wheal Kitty.

Another excellent property booked via Sykes.. Gorgeous rural setting with peaceful outlook over meadow of lambs bounding about! Wheal Kitty is well equipped, well laid out and cosy and comfy. Four poster bed in master bedroom super comfy! We loved reading up on the history of the place and the transformations Howard & family have achieved. Very tastefully done. Beautiful holiday, thank you!

We can't wait to stop again next year! booking wheal heart next time. Howard and Ann and the area are perfect absolutely did not want to leave. Everything you could need including a slow cooker! with a bottle of wine and milk waiting for you on arrival is just the perfect touch.. We love Cornwall and go yearly, but it's taken us a while to find a place to stay that is clean! , quiet and beautiful. And again can't thank Howard and Ann enough they were extremely helpful and very welcoming. Look forward to stopping next year..

Peaceful location with wonderful views over the surrounding area. Although quiet, it was not far to the main roads for Newquay and other local amenities were easy to travel to. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped with friendly owners who were nearby for information. It was a very enjoyable stay.

All I can do is reiterate everything positive that has been said about this property. The property is set in beautiful countryside with superb views. Very comfortable. Good quality furnishings. The unique oversize and comfortable bed ensures good sleep. Exceptionally clean and well equipped, providing everything that you need from the moment you arrive to the moment of leaving. A warm welcome from Howard and Ann who were always there for help and advice if required. The bottle of wine and the milk in the fridge on arrival were a welcome touch. The property is in an ideal position for Newquay whilst being in quiet and peaceful countryside. A good base for travelling further afield. The fact that many of the comments in the visitors book referred to multiple visits says it all.

We are in cottage now and what a lovely time we are having in a beautiful setting. Owner greeted us on arrival and was happy to point out places to go. Cottage is lovely, part of a group of renovated farm buildings, but very private. It's very clean and well equipped. We found sofa and chairs to be very comfortable as was our enormous bed. Tasteful decoration throughout love the photo album of the renovation and history. If I were to be critical the only thing I would change would be the toilet roll holder! Don't like it on floor. Would recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a peaceful base for touring, it's close enough to everything and far enough away to be in countryside. We brought elderly parents, Howard was kind enough to bring a chair for the bathroom. Cottage is ideal for elderly, young, couples and family's . LOVED it.

Everything was excellent. Probably the best holiday cottage we've ever stayed in. All looked like it was brand new - although we now know it was completed a few years ago. People were very friendly and welcoming. The cottage is surrounded by countryside, with beautiful views and is lovely and quiet.

The cottage had beautiful views and was a lovely place to come back to every day. We are in England for six months from Australia and it was exactly the kind of property we were looking for. The owners were very friendly without being over the top.

August 2014
A lovely peaceful location in a pretty cottage which felt snug during a a storm and airy when it was warm. The location is perfect for getting out and about around Cornwall and there is plenty of room to leave your car outside the door for unloading. The owners were welcoming and available if required but left you alone to enjoy your break in peace. The cottage is very well equipped and nicely decorated and of adequate size.

This cottage was a perfect base for touring round Cornwall. We were greeted by the owner on arrival but otherwise we're left in peace to enjoy our holiday and the stunning views. The cottage is well equipped with all mod cons and utensils. You won't need to take anything extra. The history of the cottage is explained in the welcome manual and it makes you appreciate the hard work which has gone into making this building fell so homely. The hand made 4 poster bed is amazing and we slept well every night in peaceful surroundings, even on our first night during a big storm, we couldn't have felt more snug. The views are stunning and it only takes a couple of minutes to drive to the main road to start your daily adventures. If you just want to chill out in the cottage, there is a large shared garden area, with each cottage having its own table and BBQ. The place was very clean and the complimentary wine was welcomed after a 6 hour drive! We didn't need for anything during our stay but had we have done, then the owners are close by and I'm sure would be most obliging if required. If we decide to return to Cornwall we would seriously consider returning to this lovely cottage. Thank you

A beautiful cottage in the middle of nowhere and very well converted from the original farm building. Very peaceful and great for 4 adults as we were. The owners left us alone but if we had needed anything they were there.

Loved the area, plenty of space around and beautiful views from the windows. Cottage comfortable overall, could have done with more wardrobe space. Lack of storage or shelf room in bathroom. The two settees not very comfortable.Very reasonable price for a lovely place would go back again and have recommended to other people.
