Bathroom needs a bigger sink ,outside space is not secure for dogs.. Mine legged it down road within 30 minutes of being there. Apart from that the cottage is great. There’s only one pub/restaurant and one shop in the village and that’s it.

Had a very relaxing enjoyable time at Victoria cottage.. The hosts were lovely, and the nice touches of wine, scones, jam, cream & mince pies were lovely in addition a bottle of milk in the fridge which were not expected but a very welcome gesture. The cottage is exactly that a cottage, 2 bedrooms, lounge/diner and kitchen with shower room off kitchen. If you are looking for lots of space this would not be for you but it was far from cramped and the addition of the dressing area off the main bedroom is a good space. It is well equipped, although we did notice some glasses that had been pushed to the back of the cupboard which were broken or cracked, I would like to think the people who broke the items told the owners and paid for the damages but as the item were still in the cupboard it is highly unlikely which would upset me if I were the owner of the property. We have left a note for the owner advising them if the glasses that are broken. I just hope they can determine who would have done the damage. We would definitely return should we want a trip like this again as it is a first for us as we have a touring caravan that we would normally use, but with it been winter decided bricks were preferable. Thank you Frank & Hillary for allowing us to use your cottage we have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

The cottage was beautiful, well equipped and very homely.. Very doggy friend cottage with their own room and most places in Cornwall allow dogs in bars and restaurants. The village is lovely and a great pub, local shop and butchers in minutes walk. The area is the perfect location to visit all of the beaches and places of interest. Holywell beach is the nearest and absolutely stunning!! The owners left us a bottle of wine and scones which is a really nice touch.... thank you and we will definitely recommend to family and friends.

Victoria cottage is lovely, clean and neat and everything well thought of for the dogs and us also (dog treats, towels, beds, wine and scones/cream) only thing I would mention is we found fridge a little small and there was only two of us so can’t imagine there is enough space for four people however there is a really nice shop liturally a stones throw away so that worked for us.. Nice village. Hillary tho we did not meet her as we met her husband was very helpful on the phone as unfortunately we arrived a day early with two dogs in tow and were struggling to find somewhere for the night... she rang us back when she had realised that the people in the cottage had left a day early to see if we had found somewhere, by that point to my relief we had found a travel lodge near Newquay. Very thoughtful lady sad to of not met her.

Lovely cottage , ideally based to explore Cornwall.. The owner was there to greet us and was very friendly. Cream tea, bottle of wine and dog beds with dog treats were waiting for us. The log burner soon warms the cottage on a windy winter's day.

The cottage is very comfortable, warm and cosy.. Ideally situated to explore the central part of Cornwall, nowhere is far away. The owner left us welcome goodies which were much appreciated after a taxing journey during Storm Callum!

The owners provided the cottage in beautiful condition and the facilities were first class.. In addition the cottage is centrally situated for touring Cornwall and the village shop being 30 seconds walk away was a real bonus. The pub, the Pheasant Inn was superb, good food and welcoming plus reasonably priced and we would have to recommend the butcher in the village,
