It has an open-plan living room with a fitted kitchen and dining area. Outside has a patio area with furniture and a barbecue provided. There is ample off-road parking available. Wallerthwaite Barn is a stunning property for a romantic holiday.

Markington is a village in North Yorkshire, England and consists of around 3000 acres of land. Though small, it thrives with a local school, village store and two welcoming pubs. The village is within driving distance of the local cities and towns of Ripon and Harrogate, and for exploring the stunning Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors countryside.

The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

We enjoyed a three night stay and it couldn't have been any better,the hosts are very friendly and the owner Vicky has truly thought of everything. It is beautifully furnished to a very high standard and everything is high quality. There is a welcome pack with a couple of extra special items (very much appreciated). There are plenty of walks locally - maps provided it is also well placed for Harroagate and Ripon. Very peaceful location with a lovely courtyard to sit and enjoy the well kept garden. We will be back!

We had a wonderful week in this beautiful place.. We had a great welcome and the cottage was very warm and comfortable. The area is spectacular and there are loads of places nearby to visit.

It's a hidden gem set in beautiful surroundings mid way between Ripon and Harrogate.. The owner provided a welcome pack, of butter, fresh eggs, home made bread, milk, tea, sugar, coffee and a bottle of wine. The village shop and post office is run by a lovely lady name Linda and the local pub has a very good menu, both are just a short walk away from the cottage. I was extremely lucky to find Wallerthwaite farm cottage as it was new to the market and i was the first guest. I was between houses at the time and needed somewhere to stay for a month. The cottage is a brand new farm building conversion which has been done to the highest standard with quality fixtures and fittings. I can definitely highly recommend this cottage.
