Holiday home
The Robins is a welcoming, Victorian, end-terrace cottage set in a quiet position in Filey, North Yorkshire. With three bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room, along with a family bathroom and a ground floor cloakroom, this property can sleep six people comfortably. There's also a kitchen with dining area, a utility room, a sitting room and a separate snug/play room. Outside, there is a compact, enclosed patio with furniture and BBQ, along with unrestricted roadside parking. The Robins offers a wonderful base for a family holiday beside the seaside, with Scarborough and the North York Moors National Park within easy driving distance. Note: One well-behaved dog welcome. Note: We are unable to accommodate early check-in and check-out requests.

Area
Filey is a traditional English seaside resort, with a friendly atmosphere, offering a restful holiday. A fishing town on the North East Coast, Filey has enjoyed a reputation of being a seaside resort since Victorian times. The town is set affront the magnificent Filey Bay, a long stretch of beautiful sand with Filey Brigg to the North with its shallow rock pools.

The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Robins is not a 4 tick holiday cottage looks good on paper but the holiday home is dated and not very clean when you have a good inspection.. A good size home old TV no smart TV you will need your own smart devices . Not in the best street back of a petrol station 'dirty windows asked to remove bed covers no problem but stains on pillows and matteres not nice only plus is the size of accomodation . would not got back the place needs updating

A lovely visit again, having been to the Robins before.. The house is extremely well set up and, despite COVID-19 restrictions on some things (like books and DVDs) nearly everything you want to do in a home is possible there. We highly recommend it.

Holiday place brill owners brill but totally disgusted with Sykes my holiday got cancelled cos Sykes failed to collect money and didn’t ring me to mention the problem had to spend best part of a day trying to sort and save holiday which was put right in the end but as a long term customer I’d have expected better treatment -not even any compensation or money off despite upsetting my whole family who are all key workers who thought we had lost our family time together after months of isolating and working as key workers teachers and doctors

This was our second stay in The Robins and was just as good as we remembered.. We had a phone call to say that the property was ready for us, a little earlier than arranged but as we were a little later than we had hoped to be we rang Sue just as we were arriving and she came straight away to show us around. A lovely warm welcome with a complimentary basket of essentials to make a welcome cuppa! The photos do not do the property justice and we couldn't find fault with anything. I thought something was missing in the lounge but my husband remembered the lovely Christmas tree from our earlier stay! Really spoilt for choice with more books than a library, games and even jigsaws as well as toys for younger children. Lovely linen and more towels than we needed....perfect! And within a 3 minute walk of our favourite restaurant...Bella Italia is just around the corner but do book. We went twice during our stay and the restaurant was full on both occasions. We had a lovely stay here and will definitely return.

The house was extremely clean and the furnishings were of very good condition.. However, I do not feel that it is suitable for elderly or disabled people. The stairs were extremely steep and the polished floorboards were difficult for the disabled or elderly. Also the house accepts pets which is good as we have a dog but she found it really difficult to walk on the floorboards and kept slipping. I feel also it would be better to have some net curtains on the front windows as you felt were open to people walking by or from the opposite side of the road. Apart from these comments the house was very nice and comfortable.

The situation of this house is close to all amenities shops restaurants beach it has everything you need just like home from home.. Very quiet street even though it's just off the main road, we had a lovely week weather was kind to us some lovely walks nearby wouldn't hesitate a return visit excellent.

This was our second stay at the Robins at fileý .. It's a beautiful, spacious, clean ,comfortable home from home house in the centre of filey . The nearest supermarket 5 minutes walk away .The sea front 10minutes walk away. Having stayed in a lot of accommodations and cottages, I can truly say that The Robins was truly excellent.. It was immaculate, comfortable and extremely spacious and was situated in a great central location, only 5-10 minute walk from all the amenities and the beach. My family and I couldn’t have felt more comfortable or at home. Would have no hesitation in recommending The Robins to anyone.

A great little find.. Close to all Filey has to offer. Cosy relaxing warm retreat after a days shopping in Scarborough and walking along Fileys beach. If I had to be picky I thought the 10am kick out time a little early especially when you have to strip the beds. Also being really really picky in the twin room it would be great to have a small lamp. We used the one from the hallway which was a little big. All in all a great stay. Thanks ks

Its a great place to stay,3bedrooms ,1on suite,2singles,1double great close to all ameanities ,plenty of coffee shops especially the pines they do every thing from breakfasts sandwichs,fish,home made pies .please try it ,its on hope street opposite the new bike shop where you can hire beach bikes or just any other sort of bike,the robins take,s pets as well .give it a try .

This is a beautiful house with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. It has plenty of room for families and stacks of books, toys, jigsaws, games and DVDs for rainy days. It was within walking distance to Filey and easy accessible for public transport. It was clean and cosy inside and with helpful owners. We look forward to visiting again in the future. Wir waren für 5 Tage in The Robins und haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt. Die Schlüßelübergabe hat problemlos geklappt. Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und gut gelegen in einer kleinen Seitenstraße. Ein Tesco ist ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt und zum Strand gelangt man in einer Viertelstunde. Alle Räume waren sehr sauber, die Küche ist sehr groß, bietet genug Arbeitsfläche und ist perfekt ausgestattet. Es gibt ein eigenes Spielzimmer in dem für jedes Alter Spiele, Puzzles und Bücher untergebracht sind. Im Obergeschoß gibt es drei geräumige Schlafzimmer. Einzig die Matratzen waren recht hart. Alles ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet - wir haben uns wirklich wie zu Hause gefühlt. Auch für unseren kleinen Sohn (2 Jahre) war das Haus toll, es gibt auch einen Kinderstuhl und ein Kinderbett. Wenn wir wieder einmal Urlaub an der Küste machen, werden wir definitiv wieder in the Robins wohnen. Die Besitzer sind sehr nett und bemüht

We had a great few days at The Robins, celebrating New Year. A very warm, cosy house with everything we needed and more. The Playstation was a big hit with our 2 grandsons and the locality meant we never had to move the car. Would maybe like to come again in the summer. A good time was had by all.

Really lovely home...very homely and everything spotlessly clean. Flowers and chocolates were a nice touch. I would definitely stay there again. The second lounge/play room was great for us. The only downside is the garden, which is a small courtyard, but we knew that before we went. Barbeque items were provided and we managed to use them. Only a 5 minute walk to Tesco's and the town for strolling around the shops. And only a 10 minute walk to the beach. Was great not to have to use the car all the time.

We have just spent a week at this holiday cottage and it was superb, the owners were so helpful.
