Stunning location! So quiet and peaceful. Cottage was absolutely spotless, decor was fresh and uplifting and all facilities working as they should. Everything you need 10 minute drive away or less which was a bonus! Look forward to returning in the future.

This was a really super place to stay.. Clean, modern, well equipped, comfortable, spacious. Nice touches with the cake and some milk waiting for me when I arrived. Very convenient for the Park and Ride for York and for main roads to other places. Quiet with lovely views over the golf course. I am recommending it to all my friends. Small comments: The TV was actually a smart TV so one had access to You Tube, etc. Very good. On the other hand, there was nowhere to plug my electric toothbrush into - so bring a convertor! But these are small points. Definitely recommended.

Wonderful place, bigger than i thought and so warm and welcoming.. Very clean with cake and tea in the kitchen. 10min drive from York designer outlet park and ride with easy bus to York. Despite being close to the outlet was so quiet and peaceful. Wonderful walks on the grounds and so much to do in York and surrounding areas. Perfect for us a family of 4. From National Trust sites, dungeons, viking centre, shopping, eating out and castles. Brilliant location and a 5* bungalow.

We booked the Milking Parlour for a weekend away in York and it did not disappoint.. From the friendly greeting on arrival, to the welcome cookies left (which the kids loved). The parlour itself is a spacious place to stay all rooms are a great size and immaculately clean and warm. The view from the living room window looks out to the golf course and was very peaceful, no one disturbed you at all it was like a little piece of heaven. Swallow Hall itself is close by to everything yet seems like a hundred miles away in the country We used the park and ride at the Designer outlet (5 mins away) to get to York which was perfect. Would def recommend the Milking Parlour and will def book again.

Great location, close to York but in countryside on golf course - don't know how busy the golf course would be in summer but quiet in December.. Very comfortable & cosy cottage, had everything we needed including welcoming muffins!

The bed was very hard we had to buy a memory form topper for the double bed at a cost of £45 .. But part from that the cottage was very nice but it is a working golf course with tractors starting there engines at 6.30 am there was much lighting around the court yard from the car park to the cottage apart from that a great base

We enjoyed our stay so much last year we came back this year.. It is ideal if you want somewhere off the beaten track but not to far. A very peaceful and quiet setting in a golf course. There is a folder giving you all you need to know about the cottage. Onsite washing and drying you clothes if needed including a washing line and pegs. You can use the golf course and club house if you require. The cottage is lovely and to be honest if we could we would buy it as it is so right for us. Everything you need for cooking is there making you able to cook a roast to a simple meal. Lots of brochures are kept in a draw for you to decide what to do each day. Highly recommend staying here.

Just returned from a lovely week at The Milking Parlour, Crockey Hill.. Lovely cottage, very comfortable. Friendly welcome. A bottle of milk was provided in the fridge, also a delicious lemon cake. Good location for visiting the delights of Yorkshire. Close to the park and ride service into York next to the Designer Outlet. We did not visit the on site restaurant so cannot comment on that. Golf course was available at reduced rates. Also tennis court if you feel energetic. We would recommend this cottage. As a side note, we could not get a signal from our phones all week at the cottage and the wi fi provided did not work other than very briefly on Saturday morning. This was not a problem to us, but it could be for other holiday makers.

We commented to one of the Staff that a non-slip bathmat would be useful and within a day or so one was provided.. The Wi-Fi connection was not all that I expected it to be.

An amazing place, looks fantastic in the pictures and did not disappoint when we arrived, spacious, clean and an beautiful lemon cake waiting on arrival! The owners could not have been more accommodating and friendly and keep the surrounding gardens and golf course in fantastic condition. Getting to York was easy as there is a park and ride in the Designer outlet place nearby and the buses are constant.
