Sunnyside Cottage is set in the owners beautiful grounds.. So peaceful and relaxing. It has its own enclosed sunny patio garden, with lovely views across the village and towards the church. The steeple was lite up at night. Hearing the owl hooting every night was so magical. The Cottage it's self was so homely and had every thing you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable. The Greyhound Public House just a short walk away was very friendly and served excellent food. It was ideally situated to visit places not only in Somerset but also Devon. For us it was the perfect place to stay. So much so we are going to stay later in the year again.

Diane and Brian at Sunnyside were warm and welcoming.. Sunnyside it is a beautiful location and the gardens, private woodland and field were amazing for our little dog. It was incredibly private to the point we really only caught sight of the owner twice. Sunnyside is extremely clean and very well equipped. The small enclosed garden faces south and again is very private. My elderly parents slept in the bedroom on a very comfortable bed. I slept on the bed settee, unfortunately I did have lower back pain before the holiday and the mattress on the bed settee for an adult wasn’t padded enough ( the addition of a better mattress is needed). A child’s weight on it would be absolutely fine. The local pub is 5 minutes away on foot and is under new management and the food was very well priced and absolutely delicious. Diane and Brian make Honey it looks delicious and I have bought one to take home can’t wait to try it. Thank you for a wonderful stay, hope to see you again in the future.

The cottage was fantastic beyond our expectations , it was idyllic , picturesque , private and very quiet and peaceful .. It's great for wheelchair users , there being no step .The double doors at the front of the cottage have good access and the internal doors are extra wide . The wet room again , gives easy access . The gardens where a delight to walk around for a nice leg stretch . I have to say that Diane and Brian where a lovely couple that couldn't do enough for us . They was always at hand for any help or enquires we may have had and of course Ruby the little dog , what an absolute delight she is with her ball . Diane and Brians home made scrumpy and honey is a must try ! Thank you Diane and Brian for being lovely hosts . Best regards , Sherry & Mike Russell

The owners were lovely and friendly, the grounds of the property were amazing, beautiful garden and a lovely wood to walk in which was a blessing as the weather was extremely hot, lovely quiet location.. Sunnyside was perfect for visiting the Black down hills, the quantocks and Exmoor. Will certainly return in the not to distant future.

Staple Fitzpaine is a quiet village and any stay there is extremely relaxing.. Sunnyside is just what it says - sunny and well appointed. There's excellent dog walking in the adjoining fields and within the wider property. The Greyhound Inn just up the road serves good food. We had a lovely stay and would recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet break.

Sunnyside Cottage, being centrally situated, is an ideal base to explore Somerset, Dorset and Devon.. The well equipped cottage is set in picturesque, rural surroundings with stunning views from its picture windows. It also has the advantage of a pub in strolling distance.

Perfect hideaway holiday to get away from it all.. We slept for England in the very comfortable bed. comfortable sofa , warm heating system, good walk in shower / wet room. Only a 5 minute drive to Taunton , lots of shopping and good restaurants . 20 minute drive to either cost for fossil hunting , 10 minute drive to the shooting range if thats what you like to have a go at. Hosts were a lovely couple who left us to our own privacy but were on hand if we needed anything ( try Dianes' honey from her own bee hives.....yum) Beautiful garden to stroll around...orchards...little pony in his field. Brilliant holiday, we didn't want to leave. Fay and Brad.
