Great stay in this lovely flat. Clean and comfortable. Right in the Center of Dunkeld , easy access to walks, and all of the great restaurants and pubs . The shed at the bottom of the garden could do with some work, distracts a bit from the lovely view.

If you are looking for somewhere nice, cosy, clean and comfortable I would avoid choosing this accommodation. We stayed and had to clean up including the toilet when we arrived. The place wasn’t cleaned properly, feels cold and damp and had a musty smell. Bottles and cigarette ends also welcomed us at the front door as we arrived. What a let down and it’s not cheap. I provided feedback to Sykes cottages to carry out an up to date inspection for their advertisement as it’s not like the photos. Never again.

We had the pleasure of spending Christmas at 8 Cathedral street Dunkeld.. our aim was to rent something small and cosy as it was just 3 of us staying. I was blown away by the apartment. very clean cosy and everything you need for a holiday we even received a beautiful little hamper which went down very nicely. We are familiar with Dunkeld as our son wife and young family live locally.so we were able to enjoy the lovely walks right on our door step and stand on the embankment of The Tay with our morning cup of tea with not a care in the world.so thank you so very much we have had an amazing Christmas and will be booking 8 Cathedral street again. happy new year to you all with Regards Diane and Mark Duffield kent.

Great property in a village that we know well which has everything.. Always something different to do, lots going on in the village also. Area lovely and nice scenic walks. Booked cottage for next year with the dog too.

Location is great just down from the Cathedral, however the downside is that it means constant people walking past the front and side of the house which if you've got a dog that's territorial it's not the best.. The heating was off and despite trying to boost it as per the manual it still wouldn't come on. It may be summer but it's still Scotland! Dunkeld has some great walks though so we had a great time

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay , the cottage was very comfortable .. We were very lucky as the weather was excellent during our stay , and therefore the garden was a huge bonus and and was a real suntrap and useful because of our dog who also loved her stay . The table and chairs was really useful and enabled us to eat outside . Very central for all local amenities and walks . The one comment is that as soneone who likes to cook , the kitchen could do with more utensils as had no serving spoons at all , The back door sticks on opening and had scratched the floor . The lock did not always open easily with the key , and we all felt was not the most secure with just a basic Yale lock on a door with alot of glass .

The good bits.. Very nice welcoming goody basket. This is a delightful well furnished and laid out flat. It is thoughtfully kitted out, spotlessly clean and comfortable. There is lots of useful information on what to do and where to go, and also on the equipment in the flat. The flat is a hop skip and a jump away from shops, river, playpark, and Cathedral. Cathedral Street must have the highest concentration of Historical or Architectural Award plaques in the country. Dunkeld is a lovely historical village, bustling by day and tranquil by evening, and full of friendly people. Great chippy. It is a excellent centre for exploration in all directions. Don't be put off by on-street parking. It can be busy during the day but you are spoiled for choice from early evening on. The “bad” bits. The frying pan is twisted and you have to keep chasing your eggs uphill. The mirrors are too high for vertically challenged people. The door handles squeak and need oiled. The upside to this is that you get warning of a small child on an early morning tickle mission. We (Granny, Grampa, Mummy and 4 year old) will be happy gto go back again.

We have stayed near Dunkeld on previous occasions but never in Dunkeld itself.. 8 Cathedral Street was perfect for exploring this beautiful area. A view of the river Tay from the kitchen window is a perfect way to start the day waiting for the kettle to boil. The garden is small and enclosed perfectly safe for our dog and the sturdy picnic table meant coffee in the sunshine, lunch outside and pre evening nibbles and drinks were all in a perfect setting. The location was absolutely perfect for exploring the town and walking from the front door without needing to take the car out. Having space to park the car near the cottage was also a positive benefit. The cottage is very well appointed and really comfortable. We will certainly be rebooking for next year.

The cottage was beautiful and in a perfect place near to the river banks and a park for the dog.. Dunkeld is a gorgeous, very dog friendly place and would definitely revisit!

The location was great, the apartment was very nicely furnished and comfortable.. The problem we had was with the noise from the apartment above. There was lots of moving around and general "lumping " about, but it was at 11 pm to well after midnight and again at 5:30 am to after 7 am, and this was every night. We're not unreasonable people - they could well be working folk, not holiday makers, but by the end of the week we were shattered from lack of sleep. This is not what we go on holiday for. It is such a shame, as everything else was as good as it could have been, but we won't book this apartment again for this reason.

Overall my family and I were happy with the cottage.. I had lived there over 20 years ago and it brought up a lot of good memories. One thing that I think you need o be aware of is the condensation in the bathroom was a lot. To the point that we often found a puddle of water under the loo and sink in the morning from the collection over the night. Also leaning back against the water tank of the loo was not advised as this was often also wet with condensation. I am not sure how you could sort it out but I would advise you to look into it. Overall the cottage has been done up in a lovely way. Thank you

Can't recommend this property enough. On the edge of a beautiful little village at the start of the highlands. Nestled at the entrance to the Cathedral and a stone throw away from the River Tay, a great place to relax and escape.
