Located in the heart of Lucca, this apartment is a great base for exploring the city’s historic sites, museums, and winding cobbled streets. And after a long day of sightseeing, you can enjoy an aperitif on the apartment’s sunny terrace while watching the walkers and runners roam the Renaissance walls. When it’s time for dinner, head back out to sample one of the local trattorias. There’s no oven here, and a restaurant right downstairs, so we think that’s the perfect excuse to take a break from cooking during your stay.
Home truths: *There's no lift here. You'll need to be able to climb stairs to reach the entrance of the home on the first floor. There are also stairs inside the apartment, which is set over two floors.
*There's a restaurant below the apartment, so expect to hear some noise. At weekends, music may be playing until midnight, particularly in the summer months.
*You won't find an oven here – though there is a hob. We think the kitchen is better suited to prepping lighter bites than large meals.
*The terrace overlooks the neighbouring apartment – there's a chance you might see a neighbour or two, so it doesn't feel completely private.
*While there are no in-unit laundry facilities here, you will find a communal washing machine and dryer within the building.
*One free parking space is available here. However, as the apartment is located within the city's limited traffic zone, you'll need to provide your host with your name and car registration details ahead of your arrival.
