You'll be hard pressed to find more striking views of the Tuscan hills than here at this beautiful country home set north-west of Lucca. Located next to a Romanic church, the owners have managed to keep much of the original features and character while providing plenty of modern comforts to ensure a truly relaxing holiday. In addition to the charming bedrooms, many with countryside views, there are a handful of communal spaces to stretch out in. The two kitchen are comparatively small, but have everything you need to create your own Italian feasts. Star of the show is the large terrace and pool area. If you can tear yourself away, then there's plenty of sightseeing to enjoy nearby.

*The sleeping arrangements can accommodate a further two guests on a double sofa bed in the TV room.

*Heating is available on the first floor and the ground floor during the periods allowed by Italian law.

*The adjacent Romanic church is used once a year to celebrate the patron saint. Your host can advise when this takes place.

*The property is located on a hill and might not be the best option for those with reduced mobility.

*The property caretaker lives at the rear of the building and is available to assist should you need her.

*The swimming pool is open from 15 May to 30 September.
