When you can wander through a meandering gangway on a rooftop, with stunning views of Florence’s greatest landmarks – including the iconic Duomo – then you know you’ve found a hidden gem. Spread out across two storeys, this one-bedroom apartment is at once grand and modern – with high ceilings and parquet flooring contrasting with contemporary furnishings and decor. Downstairs, you’ll find a cosy living room complete with a sofa that doubles as a bed, and a small kitchenette ideal for lighter meals. Upstairs, the main bedroom awaits, as well as a small working station and an ensuite bathroom featuring a luxuriant sunken bathtub. When you’re ready to explore, the best of Florence is on your doorstep – including the Duomo, just minutes away.

Home truths:
*At full occupancy, two guests will be sleeping on the sofa bed in the living area. As the mezzanine with the bed is located above the living area, those on the sofa bed may lack privacy.
*You won't find an oven or dishwasher here – though there is a hob. We think the kitchen is better suited to prepping lighter bites than large meals.
*This home is on the fourth floor with lift access.
*Guests have access to the walkways on the rooftop of the building.
*Though the apartment has air conditioning, depending on the time of year, it may get hot upstairs.
*If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair for free. You'll need to request them in advance.
*Parking in Florence can be tricky, so we recommend sticking to easily accessible public transport where possible. If you're arriving with a car, there is a paid multi-storey car park nearby.
