Found only ten minutes from some of Florence's most popular attractions, this efficient apartment is ideal for couples and solo travellers looking to dabble in Renaissance culture. The living area is mostly taken up by the sofa bed and dining table, while the kitchen is rather cramped and forgoes larger amenities like ovens or washing machines. The double bedroom is comfortable and boasts its own en-suite bathroom, though there's nowhere else for larger parties to go. It's the location that helps this home shine – you'll be just ten minutes away from the home of Michelangelo's David, while the city centre can also be reached within fifteen.

Home truths:
*At full occupancy, two guests will be sleeping on the sofa bed in the living area. If they want to use the bathroom, they'll need to pass through the bedroom.
*There's no lift here. You'll need to be able to climb stairs to reach the entrance of the home.
*You won't find an oven here – though there is an electric cooker. We think the kitchen is better suited to prepping lighter bites than large meals.
