We have had the most wonderful time in this holiday home. It is set in a perfect quiet location which is a couple of minutes walk to the town which hosts a few pubs, cafes, shops and a marina. The house has everything we needed including a beautiful log fire which was perfect for the autumn weather and we were also left a lovely bottle of cider and a cake as a welcome gift. The house is clean and exactly what we hoped for. The dog was also very welcome with pet bowls and towels left for us to use. The owners numbers are left in case of any issues (which we had none) and there is a little welcome folder with info on the area. There are lots of beautiful walks locally which can keep you busy and then return home to the beautiful Log fire. We were also not expecting a Christmas tree which was the perfect little addition to a lovely break. Defo worth a visit and plan to return

The owners had left a note saying they had switched off the heating & hot water - it was August but who doesn’t need a shower? We tried to put it on but the boiler would not ignite - we could not get in touch with owner & Sykes sent someone out eventually on the last evening of our holiday - the engineer confirmed a fault & fixed it. Sykes took no ownership did not apologise & owners us £71 - probably the saving they made on gas/elec bill but we would never have stayed anywhere where we could not wash for 3 days - it’s not the Middle Ages ! The property advertises parking but it is down a very narrow pathway on a slope so if you like your car or are not Lewis Hamilton I would not recommend. Lastly a small gripe but there is a washing machine but nowhere to dry clothes. Why use a booking agent if when there’s a problem then take no responsibility. I would recommend staying elsewhere and booking through someone else. There are plenty more cottages by the sea !
