Inside Clicket Water, you’ll find a well-designed space that blends comfort with the charm of a traditional cottage. The living room is warm and inviting, featuring comfortable seating, a Smart TV, Wi-Fi, and a wood burner, making it the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed for a self-catering stay. It includes a fridge, slimline dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, induction hob, washing machine, and double electric oven. A utility area is also available on the ground floor.

Upstairs, there are three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a super king-size bed and overlooks both the rear garden and the valley and river at the front. The second bedroom has a double bed and views across the valley and river. The third bedroom has a small double bed (4') for one guest, making this property a perfect retreat for families, friends, and couples alike.

Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. Clicket Water has central heating throughout the property. There is a wood-burner in the living room and some logs will be provided to get you started in the cooler months.

Bed linen, duvets, and towels are provided for your convenience, but please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take towels with you on day trips.

A welcome pack will be provided for your arrival. Cleaning materials such as washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets will be present in the property. One or two toilet rolls will be provided.

Location
Nestled in the heart of Exmoor National Park, the village of Timberscombe is a charming and peaceful retreat. At its heart is The Lion Inn, a traditional village pub just a short stroll away, offering drinks in a friendly, pet-welcoming atmosphere (though it’s not currently serving food). The local church, post office, and infant school contribute to the strong community feel of the village, making it a lovely place to stay and explore.

Just three miles away, the medieval village of Dunster is a true Exmoor gem, boasting the historic National Trust’s Dunster Castle, a beautifully preserved medieval Yarn Market, a historic Deer Park, and a working Water Mill. With its winding streets, characterful buildings, and a selection of cosy pubs and cafés, it’s a wonderful place for a day out.

For those drawn to the coast, the Somerset coastline is just four miles away, with Dunster Beach, Porlock Bay, and Blue Anchor offering scenic, dog-friendly shores. Whether you prefer a peaceful coastal stroll or a bracing dip in the sea, these beaches provide a perfect spot to enjoy the fresh sea air.

A short four-mile drive leads to Minehead, a classic Edwardian seaside town and the starting point of the South West Coast Path. Its mile-long seafront, scenic promenade, and charming harbour capture the town’s rich maritime heritage. Here, you’ll find a variety of independent shops, cafés, restaurants, and supermarkets, as well as the West Somerset Railway, the UK’s longest heritage railway—a must-visit for history and railway enthusiasts alike.

The area surrounding Clicket Water is a paradise for nature lovers and walkers.
