Within easy walking distance of the property is a mill stream and the River Isle, where you can picnic, swim or spend the day fishing. National Cycle Network route 33 runs directly through the village and to name but a few attractions, Burrow Hill Cider, The Willow and Wetlands Centre, the NSPB site of nesting herons, East Lambrook gardens, Shakespeare Glass and Barrington Court are all within a short drive. Further afield is the the famous World Heritage Jurassic coastline where you can go fossil hunting on the beautiful beach at Charmouth, visit famous Lyme Regis or turn back inland towards Montacute House, Forde Abbey and Gardens, Ferne Animal Sanctuary and the Axe Valley Wildlife Park The front door of the property opens directly into its hallway with hooks for hanging coats and space to stow footwear. From here you can access the spacious shower room with shower and WC and the bedroom with king size bed, built in wardrobe and garden views. Back into the hallway and straight ahead is the well equipped kitchen/diner with electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge with ice compartment. This is the perfect place to cook up a lazy breakfast, or a romantic meal for two. Dine in here at the table by the TV/DVD whilst planning your next day s activities, or open up the French doors to the raised terrace. Heading up to the first floor you will find the light, bright, lounge with vaulted ceiling and five windows with those views to the far hills and where you can sit and relax or watch a film on the TV/DVD. There is also a separate WC here. Outside, the patio area with its fig tree, mimosa, and roses leads down to the fully enclosed garden via a gradual slope with handrail. A walk across the lawn to the end of the garden leads you to an enchanting secluded area, which floods with morning sunshine in clement weather and is perfect for sitting and drinking your early morning coffee. Leave the garden here and walk a little further through the cowslip field to a wildlife pond with resident moorhen family, visiting egrets and overhead starling murmurations in autumn. There is also an external warm wash point for cleaning off muddy paws.
