Superb cottage, very homely with all mod cons. Ideal for families with children. Great location for country and coastal walks. Only a short drive away from attractions such as Dunster Castle and the local Torre Cider Farm, which is great for adults and children. The garden in this cottage is great for entertaining children and having barbecues.

we thoroughly enjoyed our week in Tus Nua, our grandchildren loved the swings and slide in the garden. We found the cottage very clean and very comfortable and very child friendly with stair gates and toys and dvd's to keep the children occupied. Will seriously consider returning in the future.

This holiday home has been so well thought out. My son was delighted by the swing set, the games, bunk beds and DVDs available. The modern home was clean, spacious and well stocked with all we needed. The owner clearly takes pride in making it as comfortable as possible for the guests. We had a lovely break exploring some of the local harbours and beaches fossil hunting, crabbing and eating lots of yummy ice cream. We’ll definitely be happy to spend another holiday in Tus Nua.

Really impressed with this modern cottage. The owner has thought of everything you may need to make your stay perfect. It is family friendly, but equally suitable for adults. The beds were very comfy, good towels and tasteful decor to give a calm, relaxing environment. Bearing in mind we stayed in February when it snowed and sleeted, it was warm, cosy and welcoming. Good to have off road parking and lovely views from the first floor of green rolling hills to the rear. Easy to find and access the property and well situated to explore the beautiful area, being just a stone's throw away from Dunster and Minehead. There was even a customised ordinance survey map on the dining wall surrounded by pictures of places of interest, which was very useful. Would be very disappointed if this property was not available for our next visit to the area.

If you have booked this place, cancel now if you can. There is no mobile signal, no decent wifi signal, no tumble dryer and no radiators on which washing can be dried - just 2 tiny glass electric heaters which were never on. The fireplace in the lounge was in bits, but it did work - just unsafe! The place is tiny, a house in miniature. The one TV is tiny, no clock or radio is provided. There is nothing to do in Carhampton and nowhere to go as you are in the middle of a normal working class estate where the neighbours all stare at you! There was no fancy wine for us, or welcome pack! The property was generally very dirty with mouldy black bathroom, just the one bathroom which we had to bleach on arrival. The pictures you can see of the property are well out of date, even the cushions in the lounge etc are all flat and dirty. The front garden was full of huge weeds which our kids enjoyed pulling out. We sprayed weedkiller ourselves as we were there for 4 weeks and we have standards even if the owner and cleaner do not. The back garden was mowed on day 1 of our stay only, and then left so the lawn became overgrown and unusable by the kids. The place was crammed full of baby stuff, even a pram, which we did not need and we had to put it all in the shed to survive! The kitchen was filthy, with a stinking recycle bin and minging dishwasher. The oven stinks when turned on and the kitchen drawers and cupboards were dirty and full of crumbs and tat. The cream chairs in the kitchen are stained and manky. Even the ironing board was in bits, this was the only one of our complaints the owner dealt with - he sent another cheapo one from Argos. Oh Joy! We were there for 4 weeks, no cleaner ever turned up and when we complained the owner said he was not paying for a cleaner as Sykes could not make him do so. We did get a linen change, but had to beg. The heating is controlled by the owner via wifi and rarely was it on - even when we begged. What a Scrooge! No, Scrooge probably paid for a decent phone signal! Never Again!

The communication with Andy the owner was excellent.. The cottage was lovely. Really clean and everything you needed. Even a bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived. The cottage was nice and warm and didn’t need to adjust the heating. Bed comfy and towels soft. The only thing I didn’t find comfortable was the sofa. Couldn’t seem to get comfy on it at all. The phone signal and WiFi was really good and didn’t have a problem with it at all. Didn’t like the local pub, the butchers arms. Very dated and limited food and drinks and a really busy road to cross to walk to it. Can’t fault the cottage though. Had a nice relaxing week

Great location with only a short drive to Minehead.. Very well set out for families. Mainly very clean but could do with a deep clean if I was being picky. Fabulous that a cot / baby facilities were provided. Saved us space in the car. Although a blackout blind in the front bedroom would be great. Didn’t find the settee all that comfortable but it wouldn’t stop us from returning. Owner kept in touch and was very polite.

A wonderful cottage! Superbly equipped and presented, spotlessly clean with a very friendly and attentive owner! Suits both couples and families with excellent positioning to see all of the sights that West Somerset has to offer. I can not recommend this house highly enough and will, without a doubt, definitely be staying here again. Many thanks for a great week!

We holiday in The UK several times a year and usually opt for 4/5* luxury premises, Tus Nua is rated as 5* luxury and we had a lovely week here however we would rate it as a good 4*.. It's very nice but did not meet a 'luxury' rating in our opinion. The good: Lovely clean, compact newly built house in a quiet culdesac very close to the beautiful village of Dunster, Minehead and with a lovely beach a short walk from your door which the children really enjoyed. The owner was very friendly and helpful and finding and accessing the premises was easy and stress free. Facilities were good and the beds were really lovely and comfortable. Decor is modern and neutral and children's play area in the garden was a real plus. The location is close to lots of places to visit by car and te heating system kept the house warm and comfortable. There were lots of baby equipment available, which we didn't require but would be priceless for those visiting with babies. Not so good: The living area isn't very cosy, it's small and the seating is very uncomfortable and impracticable for a family of 6. We found the hot water system a challenge as it is very strictly set and doesnt provide enough hot water for the day. You need to use the shower to run a hot bath ( as the tap temp is limited) which was fine but the booster didn't heat quickly enough to enable the family to all wash throughout the day. Basic essentials are very limited ie toilet roll & bin bags (1 spare roll and 1 tiny bin bag for a family of 6 for a week) which Is unusual in our experience for 'luxury' 5* accommodation which you have paid a premium for. overall we enjoyed our week here and would recommend this cottage to others as a good 4* Rather than a 'luxury' 5* accommodate.

An excellent cottage, well located and equipped to make the most of our holiday.. Three generations shared the facilities of Tus Nua, and this worked well. The owner was very helpful and the little touches meant we had a really chilled time. From start to finish the booking process was a breeze, and we look forward to booking our next break soon.

The Tus Nua cottage has the "WOW" factor.. Very well fitted out with all the modern conveniences you could expect. The cottage was well presented and very clean. The welcome pack was most welcome. The cottage is well situated to explore Somerset and surrounds and after a day out it was a pleasure to come home to. Would highly recommend this cottage to families with children and and those without out children because it would suit every type of visitor. Congratulations to the owner for doing such a great job.

This cottage is well situated to access the Devon area.. It was well equipped, clean and tidy. It was lovely to have garden play equipment for our grandson. We had lovely weather so was able to take advantage of the garden and barbecue. We received a nice welcome pack most appreciated. Good information pack, even though we did find the recycling a little unusual not what we are used to. We visited MInehead, Dunster and Minehead beaches, Dunster and the castle. Lots of lovely place to see in the surrounding area.

All very good, but a thorough dusting would help and for the price paid some more loo roll/kitchen roll would have been appreciated - only a petty gripe.. Oh, and maybe make it clearer when the rubbish has to go out as the previous holidaymakers hadn't left the bins out and we had to contact the owner to let them know that unfortunately the bin was overflowing by the time we left. Thanks

Lovely house, fitted out to a good standard.. Very comfortable and a nice quiet location. Unable to get water hot enough for a bath but didn't distract from a great break ***Owner Response*** Thank you for your feedback. We have investigated this thoroughly and have found that the bath has an inbuilt safety feature to prevent scald injuries to children, mixing the hot water with additional cold to maintain a maximum temperature of around 37 degrees from the bath taps. This information has been added to the property information booklet, along with possible solutions for customers desiring a hotter bath (they can top up using the shower above the bath which will run hotter).

We had a fantastic stay at Tus Nua, we booked the property for a week at Christmas.. The owner very kindly decorated the property with a Xmas tree and made it look very festive. The property was spotless, and the beds were so comfortable. Tus Nua has everything you require for a fantastic holiday, there's a pushchair, stairgates, cot all provided if you have young children. The beach, supermarkets and beautiful countryside are all within easy reach. Dunster Castle is a few minutes drive away, which was beautiful. Highly recommend this property.

Well appointed family friendly holiday home. Dunster Castle is nearby, the beach is only a few mins drive away. Minehead is only 4 miles away with a lovely beach, lots of little shop and cafes. There are 3 supermarkets in Minehead too. Would highly recommend this property very clean and modern, everything you need including cot, bath, pushchair and a swing/slide is in the property. Had a wonderful week here for Christmas, the owner even decorated the house and put a tree up for us. The owner replies very quickly to calls/texts.

We had a wonderful time at Tus Nua cottage and will definitely hope to return in the future.. The cottage was well equipped and very thoughtfully designed to provide a lovely haven of tranquillity surrounded by beautiful country and coastal walks and providing a warm and welcoming return at the end of the day. There are many activities in the surrounding areas for young and old and we will be recommending it to our friends and family. Sue & Bill Solihull
