Stone Barn is a very pleasant property in a quiet, reasonable location close to many villages and towns in Somerset. It is fairly well equipped but lacking in some smaller details unfortunately. No clothes to wipe anything down, no washing up liquid, anything to put sugar, biscuits or tea bags in etc. I could list a few more. These are basics which I would expect and have had in other properties. Some of the furniture is past its best for a property of this type with quite distinct wear on the "leather " chairs and the mattresses have seen better days especially one of the singles, with noisy springs disturbing your sleep. Not good at all. The garden is quite small unless you like sitting in a concrete yard!
Shame really as all perfectly clean. Insufficient teaspoons (3) and freezer needed defrosting as couldn't open draws. Good pub in Evercreech for food open all day. Natterjack Inn also very good, but need to book, close by.
Stayed with 5 others, one of which did the booking, and very enjoyable but unfortunately the above mentioned gripes just took the edge off a perfect stay.
