Holiday home
Teal is a delightful bungalow set on the owners' non-working farm in the village of Watchfield, 2.5 miles from Highbridge. This cottage sleeps three people and has a double bedroom, a bathroom and an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area with sofa bed. Outside there's off road parking for two cars and an enclosed gravelled garden with furniture. Teal is an ideal base for a couple with plenty to see and do in the area, including visits to Burnham on Sea and Weston-Super-Mare, along with Wells and the Cheddar Gorge. Note: One well-behaved dog welcome.

Highbridge is a small market town, situated on the edge of the Somerset Levels, only two miles from the seaside resort of Burnham on Sea. Highbridge is an ideal location from which to explore the varied delights of Somerset with its distinctive culture and history.

We where happy with the cottage generally although we like to sit at the table for our breakfast and the small wooden and metal chairs where so uncomfortable it was impossible.. The mattress on the bed was not comfortable. It was very clean and we loved the location the picket fence and the views.Valerie Hill

Teal cottage was a relaxing, comfortable stay on a farm in a little village near to Burnham on Sea.. Ruth and Andrew were extremely welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. They have provided everything you need in the cottage , the beds are super comfy, a definite plus. The cottage has a secure , fenced patio, perfect for our dog and overlooks an orchard and a field so very quiet. We definitely recommend a stay at Teal cottage. Nearby there is a great pub,the Watchfield Inn , also Rich's cider does food and cream teas, both of which we recommend. We would definitely think about returning to this beautiful part of Somerset. The cottage is absolutely beautiful, well furnished and equipped.. If you need anything extra the owners, Ruth and Andrew, are very accommodating. Both Ruth and Andrew are a very knowledgeable about the area and will tell you what is where. The cottage is very well situated to get to out and about. We really enjoyed our holiday and would definitely like to return back.

Absolutely lovely, friendly and informative owners Andrew and Ruth with such a warm welcome.. Teal is a perfect location for walks, seaside and countryside and the added benefit to us of being Dog friendly with plenty of field to exercise her ! We found Teal to be very comfortable, spotlessly clean, light bright and airy, we had a very enjoyable week - perfect !

A really lovely little bungalow so quiet and with beautiful views over the field.. A short drive away was Wells which is beautiful & Berrow Beach allows dogs all year round. The owners Andy & Ruth were extremely helpful. The bungalow had absolutely everything required and was in immaculate order throughout. We would highly recommend.

The cottage was exactly what we needed for our holiday.. Central to lots of interesting places to visit, but nice and quiet for a restful stay. The owners were very friendly and helpful, but not at all.intrusive. The cottage was cosy, clean and well equipped, and very stylishly decorated. In all a great place for our much needed break. The holiday cottage was extremely nice, but the only thing we felt let it down was the very uncomfortable bed and sofa and for these reasons only is why we would not return.. ********Owner Response********Thank you for your feedback, we have now replaced the mattresses in the property with brand new quality mattresses.

Ruth is a very warm and friendly owner.. The accommodation was very clean. It was well eqipped with everything you need to enjoy your holiday. It is situated in a nice peaceful area so if you just need a quiet spot to chill for a few days it's ideal with a lovely private garden. It is also ideally situated for touring Somerset and Exmoor, Devon and Wiltshire. I would definitely recommend it to all my friends and family. Thank you Ruth.
