The cottage is well equipped, with a good size kitchen, nice shower and a comfortable bed.. It has some stylish touches and is in a quiet location, with an outside seating area. Lincoln and Newark are a short drive away. Sarah and Sue did everything to make us feel at home. We really enjoyed ourselves.

I travel fairly extensively through the UK and I tend to rent apartments or cottages rather than use hotels.. The cottage was very tidy and clean, unfortunately the owner may need get up to speed with modern times the TV was very small, was not smart, if they're not going to supply Netflix or something similar at least a smart TV Also its probably the 1st time I've been charged to use a washing machine.

This is one of the best holiday rentals we have ever had in our numerous years of using such properties.. The quality of the furnishing, the comfort of the bed, cleanliness and a decent shower room ticked all the boxes plus a friendly welcome.

Sarah and Sue were the perfect hosts living next door in the farm house adjacent to The Granary.. It is an idyllic location in the countryside with plenty of local attractions and quaint villages and towns to visit. Clumber Park is a mere 20 min drive away, Half an hour sees you in Sherwood Forest! The Granary facilities are of great quality and numerous. The farm animals (pets!) are friendly and fun , giving you a warm welcome when they see you by the gates . My wife and I had a great stay here and will definitely be staying here again!

Very pleased with our accommodation- location was ideal and the granary had all we needed to make our short stay there perfect .. Our hosts couldn’t have been more helpful and although we were on a working farm there was absolutely no noise and was very quiet. Would recommend this property highly

Booked at the last minute as there was a window of availability. Contacted the owner by phone prior to arriving, (much earlier than normal check in time) after booking which was pre agreed without any issue. ‘The Granary’ is on a working farm in the small village of Askham. It’s a great place to get away from it all but equally it’s easy to get to places to visit if you want. The standard of accommodation is really very well done and creates a cosy, traditional yet contemporary feel. Everything we needed to cook was there. There’s even friendly cats, a dog a donkey and some sheep, so if you live animals it’s all here. We were very comfortable during our stay and would highly recommend Orchard Hill Farm to anyone seeking a lovely friendly place to stay.

We have never felt so relaxed on a weekend break before, Everything was spotlessly clean, comfy bed nice hot powerful shower.. Sue and Sarah were the perfect hosts, Sue waited for us to arrive even though it was late, Sarah offered to pick us up from a wedding we had, they both went above and beyond to help us wherever it was needed. We will definitely be returning.

As comfortable and stylish as the pictures portrayed.. What you can't show on line is the friendliness of the hosts, Susan and Sarah. They were wonderful and made my stay really memorable.

Spent a lovely weekend in the upstairs apartment of this building, and Sue the owner was kind enough to let us have a look at this one as well. They are beautiful apartments and so well equipped, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Set in a beautiful countryside location the grounds are immaculate and Sue and her daughter are lovely hosts. I would stay here again and would recommend to anybody looking for a few days in the country.

Susan and Sarah were extremely helpful and provided us with everything we needed.. The location is well placed to enable us to explore the Lincolnshire countryside. As members of the National Trust we had lots of places to visit. Newark was a lovely town to visit and even the weather didn't dampen our spirits. One thing visitors need to do which is to find out the costs of entry to some attractions as some can be expensive for 2 adults like Lincoln Castle. Not good value for money at £13.50 pp. plus parking.

My partner made an accidental booking with this place as there are two Askham’s in the U.. K., one in the Lake District, and this one. Upon realising this (the day after the booking) I contacted the owner, Sarah, to apologise for the mistake and politely request a refund, to which she bluntly said ‘No’, but then poceded to reassure me that we would enjoy our stay regardless. Needless to say, this wasn’t going to be happening as Lincolnshire, the location of Sarah’s accommodation, is absolutely nowhere near our intended location of the Lake District, and travelling here would have been completely unfeasable. I then suggested that she could just refund half of the cost as compensation for the inconvenience caused but again she persisted that she would be keeping the money. Ultimately, Sarah’s greed and lack of compassion cost us a total of £350. Would not recommend booking with this selfish and untrustworthy owner.
