Area Carlton-in-Lindrick is a village in Nottinghamshire, approximately three miles north of Worksop. The village has a selection of shops and pubs, including the Blue Bell and the Grey Horses Inn, so you have all the essentials on hand for your time away. Featured in the Domesday Book, the village has links to Saxon times and the local church bears testament to this. The 'Devil Stone' stands outside the church and is the subject of many local legends. Carlton-in-Lindrick had a bike making and repairing business, built up by Mr Fred Hanstock, which eventually became Carlton Cycles until it was taken over by Raleigh. The village is a wonderful base for exploring the surrounding countryside, situated a short drive from the Peak District National Park and less than half an hour from Sherwood Forest and Clumber Park.
Region The ultimate in “year-round” appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales.

The peace and quiet in such spacious, comfortable surroundings, both inside and out, were wonderful, exactly what we were looking for.. I must also add that Will, the owner, was most hospitable which added to our enjoyment.
I'd love to go again and would recommend the cottage to anyone,

The pictures do not do this holiday home credit.. It is a large house and the garden is MASSIVE. I am so glad we booked.
We spent 5 nights here with our 4 children and could happily have stayed another 5. We were so sad to leave.
The property itself is dated but that is part of the charm. It was so clean and had everything we needed. We all commented on how comfy the beds and bedding were. There is a stream running along the bottom of the garden which the kids loved - along with the trampoline, swing and tyre swing.
We watched the squirrels, moor hens with chicks and even a heron catching fish in the pond while having our meals. We had a day at Clumber Park and a day at Sherwood, highly recommend Forest Pines for bike hire.
The whole break was just perfect and exactly what we needed after being relatively housebound for the last few months. Thank you, Will and Liz.

My recommendation is for Pringles Cottage and our host, rather than Sykes Cottages; Pringles Cottage is a delightful home set in beautiful gardens.. It provided a peaceful location and comfortable setting that was a pleasure to stay in. The house was immaculately clean. There was a welcome Victoria sponge for our arrival, along with milk in the fridge and tea and coffee in the cupboard, and fresh flowers on the side. The house was spacious and comfortable, with a well-fitted kitchen. We would definitely happily recommend Pringles Cottage to others, both as a comfortable home and a great base from which to explore. Many thanks to Will and Liz.

Third visit to this property which is close to friends and family.. Spacious, easy, slightly quirky house, with the most fabulous garden. The owners make a huge effort to keep the garden looking beautiful. It's like living in a park!

The cottage is extremely well appointed, clean and comfortable and situated in the most beautiful garden.. The cottage is aptly named as the garden has quite a few apple trees, which were laden with fruit while we were there. We were allowed to pick as many as we wished much to the enjoyment of our five year old great-grand child.
The cottage is located in Carlton-in-Lindrick and is ideally situated to visit many nearby locations. Sheffield and Lincoln are also not too far away if you want to do some bigger shopping. The family had a wonderful time at the cottage we would thoroughly recommend it to everyone, would we visit it again, definitely
