Relaxation from the moment you arrive. The cottage is all on one level and was lovely and toasty when we arrived. The cottage is immaculate and has everything you would ever need and is all of a high quality.A lovely hamper of wine, bread eggs and lots more awaited alongside cereals and jam to get you started. The bedrooms are really well furnished and the beds lovely and comfy.Yes you can hear church bells with the window open but this is a village and to be expected although much quieter with window open. The garden is small and quaint and would be lovely to sit out in the summer months.I can't really praise this cottage and owners enough as it's a perfect cottage in every way.

A perfect location in Warkworth with local walks and the beaches, sand dunes and nature reserves not far away. Cycles can be left securely in the private back garden with Warkworth providing a great base camp for cycling the national cycle network route 1, much of which is off road or on very quiet country lanes. This stylish cottage, in the heart of the village by the church and a few steps from the river, is very well equipped and comfortable to live in. The owners are welcoming and go the extra mile to provide all home comforts and welcome treats to help you settle in.

St Lawrence Rest is one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in.. The accommodation is warm, spacious, well laid out and well decorated, and the facilities and attention to detail are excellent. The wine and biscuits on arrival were very much appreciated - thanks, Russell and Tracey! The location is very central to the town, with three good restaurant/pubs and the village shop very close by. The village is very quiet at night, and we found the chiming of the church clock quite appealing, and it did not disturb our sleep at all. There is a free car park very close to the cottage which was quite busy (although we managed to park there most days), and further parking by the river, which is very close. There are pleasant walks along the river and down to the beach, and we enjoyed Warkworth Castle, and the nearby town of Alnwick, including the Garden and Castle.

A beautiful cottage in a fabulous, central location.. Very comfortable and well equipped. However I would not recommend nor stay again purely due to the noise coming from the upstairs household. There is a young family and the little boy likes to run up and down the length of the upstairs property 50+ times a day. It is impossible to ignore and very loud. It disturbed us when trying to put my young son to bed and also began first thing in the morning so often woke us up. Not what you want when you have gone on holiday to relax. It is such a shame as everything else was fabulous and I will definitely return to Warkworth.

Wonderful cottage, really well appointed and cosy, they've thought of everything you could need, wonderful location, gorgeous area to stay in.. Great communication from the owners. No bath in the property but we brought along a mini paddling pool which worked a treat as a baby bath in the big shower area. The local people are so friendly and welcoming and we have had the best cakes we've ever tasted in every tea shop/cafe we've visited.Beautiful beaches within easy reach of the cottage.Missing Northumberland already!

We booked this cottage over another one due to the pictures showing a bath in the bathroom, we have an 8 week old daughter and so felt this was better for us.. Upon arrival we found that there was now a lovely large shower in the bathroom, perfect for me and my husband but not our baby who couldn’t have a proper bath/wash. Photos need to be updated. Apart from that everything was PERFECT and would certainly recommend this cottage!!

Although the property is advertised as ground floor accommodation, it would be helpful if the fact that the top floor is permanently occupied by a family had been mentioned.. We (and some previous residents) found the noise, mostly first thing in the morning unacceptable. The noise began from around 6.30 am to 7.00 am with what sounded like furniture being moved, the toddler running back and forth and obviously dropping toys. OK, so he was just being a toddler but if we'd been aware of occupation in the upstairs we wouldn't have booked this property as inevitably sounds are going to travel through the upstairs floor/ground floor ceiling. It was a shame that we were disturbed by the noise (we didn't even mind the regular church clock chiming although this had bothered a previous holidaymaker) as the cottage itself is cosy and nicely furnished.

The cottage was lovely, really welcoming and cosy and beautifully dressed for Christmas which was a very nice gesture and pleasant surprise.. I had a few text messages with Tracy the owner, she was very helpful and pleasant which makes a big difference when your staying away from home. The beds were comfortable with very nice sheets, I know that sounds simple but it makes a massive difference to have good sheets!

The cottage is lovely, more like someone's loved home than a rental.. There was wine and biscuits on arrival which was great! We stay in Northumberland every year but this cottage easily had the most comfortable beds. The only point I have to make is that on the picture gallery there is a picture of a garden, so I booked the cottage thinking there would be ample outside area for the kids. However on arrival there is just a small yard. Still lovely though ♥

We have been self catering for over 40 years.. This cottage is one of the best. The owners have thought of everything without going over the top. For example, plenty of hangers in the wardrobes.....something that is usually overlooked. The furniture was extremely high standard., as was everything. We will be back and recommend to friends and family

Cafes, pubs just around the corner and a handy village store and walks to the beach, castle and along the river from your doorstep.
