Lovely clean and tidy cottage with everything you need for a stay away from home.. Beds very comfortable, so much so, my friend wanted to bring her mattress home.
Centrally planned to explore the surrounding areas and a few minutes walk to a small beach.
Secure entry system so you didn't need to worry about losing a key and a lovely back yard to sit in, in warmer weather.
Will definitely book again (sadly already booked up on my next holiday date next year).
Easily the nicest cottage I've stayed in over the last 5 years!

Immaculately clean, extremely well equipped, comfortable and well located.. We were there for Christmas week and were delighted to find a beautifully decorated Christmas tree and an amazingly generous welcome package. The owners have thought of everything and gone the extra mile to provide great quality.

Fabulous accommodation.. Everything that you needed had been thought of.
The welcome pack was just what you need after a long day traveling. No need to worry about shopping for milk, bread etc.
This was our second visit, and will hopefully be back again.

Think it should be made clearer just how small & enclosed the rear courtyard is.. Totally unsuitable for dogs & not a very nice space to sit in, no sunshine reaches in as walls are so tall & it was full of bird mess. We tried to have a bbq but it wasn't a nice area to have it in.

Silver sands cottage is an extremely comfortable and well equipped property.. It is situated in a beautiful and unspoiled part of the uk which hosts spectacular sandy beaches; stunning scenery with plenty of lovely places to visit. Northumberland certainly welcomes our four legged companions as many places allowed dogs.
Will certainly visit again!

Had such a lovely short stay here with a group of girl friends.
From the moment we walked in I was impressed. The cottage is so cosy and comfortable that you will have to force yourself to go out and visit the beautiful Northumberland coast line.
It was spacious, clean and had some lovely touches in terms of decoration.
There is a full kitchen with anything you could need for your stay. Literally everything has been thought about for the convenience of the guests.
There is also good speed WiFi and a shop just a couple of minutes walk down the road.
We went to The Boathouse for tea which is in a lovely setting and the food was so good. The bonus was it was only a short walk to get there from the cottage.
There was also a little market we had a look around on the Sunday along with stalls with local sellers of food and arts and crafts.
This cottage would also work as an excellent base for people staying longer and wanting a base to go and explore more of Northumberland.
Really enjoyable stay.

Silversands Cottage was perfect! It had everything in it that you could possibly need and was beautifully decorated throughout. The woodburner was lovely and cosy on an evening! The location was ideal for exploring the Northumberland coast or for a quiet walk on the beach just a couple of minutes away. A fabulous break!

The cottage was roomy, light and extremely well presented. It had everything we could possible need and more. It was cosy and comfortable and full of little features and touches that made you feel welcome. The bedrooms in particular were lovely and snug, the bed was the most comfortable we had ever slept in! The position of the cottage, whilst on a small residential street, was quiet and we had no problem parking. In two minutes we were on the beach, or walking to the harbour which was brilliant for us and our dog! Amble is a good base for exploring Northumberland and we had a lovely holiday despite some dodgy weather. Would definitely come again and were grateful to have found this little gem.
