Ambler's Rest Apartment is a cosy apartment situated in the town centre of Amble in Northumberland and benefits from being just a short walk from the sea. The apartment can sleep four people in two bedrooms, one king size bedroom and one double. There is a modern family shower room with a walk-in shower, basin and toilet. There is a kitchen with dishwasher and open plan living/dining area. Outside to the rear of the property is an enclosed garden and patio area. There is on road parking on a first come, first served basis. Ambler's Rest Apartment is a perfect holiday home ideally located for families or friends to explore this fantastic English seaside town.

All ground floor. Two bedrooms: 1 x king-size double, 1 x double. Shower room, basin and WC. Kitchen with dishwasher. Sitting room with dining area. Utility room with washing machine.

Area
Amble is situated at the mouth of the River Coquet. Amble offers a marina, a harbour, sandy beaches and coastal walks. Large fishing boats moor along the harbour wall and land a variety of fish, prawns, crabs and lobsters. A mile south of Amble is Coquet Island, an RSPB reserve with a large population of terns, puffins and eider ducks and boat trips around the island can be arranged. Alnmouth and Craster and numerous beaches are only a short drive away.

Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian’s Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.

Absolutely lovely accommodation, really spacious and comfortable.. Very kind welcome pack which for us, as it was Easter, included hot cross buns and mini eggs as well as milk, spread, biscuits and crisps. Lovely fluffy white towels. Enclosed garden space was a real blessing for our dog and the cottage is so close to the seafront, a co-op, dog friendly restaurant (The Shack) and lots of other amenities. Would definitely recommend to friends and hope to visit again ourselves. Was lovely to meet Glenys and Neil too.

Amblers rest apartment is a downstairs living space on the road of Amble.. As another visitor said,bits like a tardis (looks small but isn't) It is a great size. We went in April. There was plenty of on street parking. Bright blue skies and cold, we were out all day and the apartment was brilliant to come back to. Clean, warm and it makes a great base to explore Northumberland from.

I was particularly pleased with the booking process.. It was easy and I was not overwhelmed by emails. Glenys made sure access was easy and hassle free (last holiday with a different company it took 2 hours to gain access after a very long drive!). Glenys was attentive from the outset making sure that everything was just right for us. The property was as described and the milk, cake and shortbread not to mention the flowers meant that we could relax and feel at home as soon as we arrived after our 5.5 hour drive. Clean, comfortable and with everything we could wish for during our stay. The area is so beautiful and while we did loads of things there is still plenty left to do so we will be back. Thank you Glenys.

The cottage was very comfortable, fully equipped, and in a perfect location.. We were made to feel very welcome - a cake on arrival, biscuits on departure, milk in the fridge etc. Easy parking outside, and a nice sunny private courtyard with table and chairs.

The apartment in Amble provided an excellent base for walking & touring on the coast.. It was large very well equipped & very comfortable. The welcome milk bread cakes (& flowers) were a surprise & really great on arrival.

The size of Ambler's Rest Apartment, Percy Street Amble was a lovely surprise--it is like a tardis! !!!. From the outside we thought it was going to be cramped, but we were totally wrong. The lounge is huge, and the bedrooms are very good doubles. There was milk, bread, cake and fresh flowers awaiting--much appreciated after a long journey. It was my first time to Northumberland, and I had expectations exceeded. I will be back.!! Thank you to Glenys for a lovely holiday apartment. Rosemary, Martin and Barbara

Very clean.. Lovely host. Good for getting to other places of interest. Walking to Alnmouth was picturesque - recommend The Red Lion there - good food and atmosphere. Alnwick Castle is fabulous and so are the gardens - they had gone to a lot of effort to make Halloween special. I've never seen anything like it. There's a second hand book shop nearby that has a HUGE selection. Crabside is fascinating and the grounds extensive - a good day out. Hexham is is lovely market town to visit. The abbey is well worth a visit.

The apartment is in an ideal location 5mins from the town centre.. We had pubs, fish shop and cafes right on the doorstep. The beach was across the road from the apartment. It was comfortable, very clean and very well equipped.Parking was first come first served but we managed and it wasn't a problem. We had a great weekend and weather was lovely.

The apartment is within easy walking distance of the sea and attractions.. The accommodation was extremely clean, spacious and the kitchen well stocked with cooking implements. There were even items for a young child since as a brand new sippy cup, bowls and plates. There are a few mini super markets close by for any requirements and the Sunday market is excellent for fresh vegetables, fruit, fish and meat. Amble is a good location for sight seeing other attractions. whilst we were there we visited Bamburgh, Lindisfarne amongst others. The owners are very friendly.
