What a wonderful stay in this spacious stone cottage as a family of six. Cottage was organised to be covid friendly upon arrival, clean and tidy, spacious rooms, bed linen fresh and with extra provided. The owner was available 24/7 to provide helpful information. Local amenities a footstep away with friendly neighbours and villagers. Beautiful village green on your doorstep. A friendly cafe just round the corner called Copper Kettle, great place to eat, catered for all dietary needs with lovely owners. Would definitely recommend a booking to stay!

Second time at Alma House.. Lovely position and very well equipped but a shower in the bathroom would make things easier. Six people sharing one shower is not ideal

We had a fantastic stay at Alma House in Reeth.. The cottage layout was ideal for our stay with our son, daughter in law, grandchildren and our dog. We loved the layout, the two bathrooms, taking all your boots and coats off before going upstairs. It just felt like home from home. Would highly recommend but please leave room for us to return.

Owners were very helpful.. Realised no corkscrew, contacted owner, who delivered one that same evening. Very nice position for access to local green and pubs. Lots of local walks for our dogs. Been to the area before and will be back. There is no garden at this property however a bench seat by the front door may be an advantage? Plenty of space for 6 adults and all rooms spacious.

Lovely cottage - plenty of space for all 5 of us and 2 dogs - really useful area downstairs for Boots and Coats.. Easy to park in the Green. Reeth is a pretty village with lots of local amenities on the doorstep and we did a variety of walks from the cottage.

Traditional style holiday accommodation but was ideal for our needs for a Winter break in a very picturesque location.. With plenty of room for six of us plus a dog we were pleased with the facilities and enjoyed our stay

Alma House is perfectly situated within the village of Reeth.. The house is very comfortable however it was not clear there was no central heating. The storage heaters were very welcome and heated the hall area well, the bedrooms and mostly the living/ dining room could benefit with a suitable heater. The house sleeps six people and generally the kitchen equipment was suitable but the cooking utensils could do with being upgraded and provision of flat baking trays would be beneficial. All this being said we had a marvellous week and enjoyed our stay in Alma House.

Alma House is a perfect base for 6 people in Reeth.. The owner was extremely friendly & helpful. The house is like a tardis.......very large lounge with sofas and table to seat 6 easily. 3 large bedrooms and a very well equipped kitchen. There are very few cottages to accommodate 6 in Reeth village and we would have no hesitation in choosing Alma House again. Thankyou Mrs McCann!

We had a very enjoyable holiday.. Alma House is well appointed, spacious and comfortable. We visit Reeth annually in late autumn when the weather is generally cold and often wet ( this year was an exception) so warmth and drying of outdoor clothing is a priority. The individual heaters at Alma House (especially the two storage heaters) are efficient but connection of the existing central heating system would work better for guests, particularly in the afternoon/evening, at this time of year.

Warm and comfortable cottage in good location in the village.. Walks in every direction without needing to use the car. On three stories so lot of up and down stairs. Fine for us but may not suit everyone.

Extremely well-equipped throughout, from kitchen to children's games, and with a very very nice and homely feel about the whole house.. Also a good local - and not-so-local - info collection. We had a great holiday with lovely walks and the kids loved the playground with the zipwire that we found on the first morning. Good village for trick-or-treating as well! Thanks a lot.

Beautifully clean spacious cottage with everything you need.. Furniture not at all tired looking, unlike some cottages we have rented and the beds were extremely comfortable. Even had toys, dvd's, cot, highchair etc for anyone with young children.

We were very impressed with Alma House, everything was of a good standard and we thoroughly enjoyed our weeks holiday. We have two small dogs and the area in the entrance where we could clean the dogs and leave our shoes and coats was a bonus. All the nearby pubs were dog friendly and we able to eat out each night. We will certainly be back!

Alma House is in a cracking location with walks from the doorstep and local pubs, cafes and shops just as close. The house was spotless and contained everything we needed. The open fire is lovely and easy to use. All in all we had a great week at Alma House and would definitely stay there again.

First I would like to say that the house was a great house to stay at and would have got 5 stars had it not been for a few niggles that only came about due to it being winter. The positives are location, cleanliness, log burner, comfiest beds in the world and just well appointed. Down sides. No central heating. Bit of a biggie this one as it was winter and we had no where to dry things (towels etc) and it was rather chilly. They did provide small storage heaters which did very little to warm the house. Or us. Next noisy plumbing. Caused a lot of hilarity at first as when the upstairs toilet flushed there were noises like a fog horn as the cistern filled. Owner it just needs new innards in the Torbeck valve. The downstairs toilet needs a new diaphragm in the syphon valve too. Last but not least the bed room with telly in becomes uninhabitable when windy. After a bit of investigation we found it was the vertical tiles on the outside of the dormer windows aren't attached right and make a hell of a clatter when the wind gets them. Two f us had to sleep in the living room when the wind was up. Hopefully these small items will get addressed as they spoil (to a small extent) what is a lovely property. As mentioned by others watch out for the parking police next door. Most unfriendly. If you don't like living next to a rental, move. It's easier being on the green anyway.

A great cottage in a lovely village. Reeth was wonderful and this cottage is close to everything, with plenty of space for 4 adults, 1 child, 2 babies and a small dog! The living space is the perfect size and having to park the car just round the corner on the green was no problem (it was very quiet in February). Highly recommend the walk up Gunnerside valley, a trip to Hawes and a mini Reeth pub crawl. The food at The Buck was excellent.

Plenty of space with good standard of accommodation. Very clean with added bonus of large screen TV in the lounge and flat screen TV in the master bedroom. Jack and Jill bathroom/shower and extra bathroom with separate toilet very comfortable for 2 couples. Good site near to the village green and pubs.

Really nice place to stay, everything inside was excellent and a really pleasant cottage to stay in. However, the parking "police" next door were a pain in the neck. You aren't allowed to park a car anyway near the rental, only for dropping off and if you don't move it straight away, you get a note on the windscreen and a knock on the asking you to move it "immediately". Could have spoilt what was a fine weekend away.
